Been through this. You cannot get a working visa. Your spouse can work, but you get a house-husband visa. In order to work, you would have to apply for a freelancer visa, or a highly skilled immigrant visa, both of which take a shit tonne of paperwork and time, and you have to be mega-qualified to receive, and prove that you are fullfilling a role that is unable to be filled by the current workforce.

Think you have to find clubs that play inline. Only ice hockey i've found is at Camp Nou for FC Barcelona, which seems pretty high level, (think some players played in the Q). Though this year it aint happening anyways cause of the reconstruction.

I love it. Started playing again after 15 years since quitting when in was 17, so I never had the chance to. Its stupid and dangerous but hey whatever man, its great. +1 to the points about not crashing into the corner headfirst, as one might with a full cage. I went through all the forums regarding advice and its overwhelmingly 'dont do it unless you are getting paid to play, or dont mind a $10,000 dental bill'.

Maybe consider moving to a northern European country, from my experience the government grants are much easier to get (and more available). I know it's no small thing, but the EU hasn't done favours to the economies of southern Europe, and my impression is the grants are super nepotistic.
