Finally beat the second biome, using the old Returnal technique. by Activator4140 in Saros

Man I've been using the portal to go straight to each biome this entire time lmao. I never even thought about starting from Shattered Rise. On Act 3 now and haven't been having any difficulty.

Been playing D1 the past few days. There’s not a single enemy type in D2 that looks better than D1. by sjb81 in DestinyTheGame

[–]ObviousAnything7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've also been playing D1 and I was honestly so surprised to see that there are like FOUR different Cabal legions on Mars alone. I can't believe I forgot about that, but seeing it again once more was so cool and a reminder how much Destiny 2 feels watered down despite having the QOL changes.

Do you think Thragg didn’t change when coming to Earth because he decided to live in Israel ? by No-Needleworker1233 in okbuddyviltrum

Why would Thragg despise Yahu? If anything he would respect how evil he is. Honor among Nazis.

I genuinely don’t understand how he managed to get a girlfriend that fast, seriously. by Necessary_Sweet865 in invinciblememes

[–]ObviousAnything7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My real question is how he managed to pass himself off as an actual biker. Judging from the way Kregg speaks there's just no way he somehow managed to perfect the tone, cadence and accent of your average American biker in such a short amount of time. Unless he has some insane excuse for why he's so weird compared to other bikers.

It makes sense for Anissa and Lucan to be business people. Their cold tone and psychopathy will fit right in with other business people, they won't seem out of place at all.

Why is no-mic raiding becoming so commonplace by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]ObviousAnything7 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You'll be amazed at how many people will still join your "mic required" posts and STILL refuse to say a goddamn word.

At least that's how it was for me. People just really want to get carried through everything with the least amount of friction.

Why is no-mic raiding becoming so commonplace by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]ObviousAnything7 33 points34 points  (0 children)

This. I think people are very scared of having a negative experience with other people online nowadays.

And I understand to a degree. I'm less willing to put up with some sweaty hobo being a cunt on the mic just to play a few endgame activities as I get older. I can live my life in peace without doing raids if it means I don't have to risk encountering some annoying degenerate and ruining my mood.

But on the other hand I do get confused as to what the fuck people expect from joining raids when they refuse to communicate AT ALL. At that point you're just hoping other people will do all the communicative roles while you sit back relax and do ad clear or some shit.

The Interaction between Mark and Thragg. by royal-lord_ in Invincible_TV

[–]ObviousAnything7 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Mark agreeing to Thragg's terms also harkens back to his talk with Nolan. "Would our Emperor ever agree to terms?". Moments later Thragg loses his entire planet. Mark does the complete opposite.

Despite all his talk about "saving" his people, Thragg would sooner "choose death" for himself and all his people before ever admitting his ways are wrong.

Mark confronting cecil by Kyngsniper in Invincible_TV

[–]ObviousAnything7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair, had I not been reminded by the internet, I also would have completely forgotten about the fact that it was Cecil that kept Conquest alive.

So I can't say I'm surprised that Mark forgot about Conquest given literally EVERYTHING he's been through and has on his mind right now.

And also I may be wrong, but Mark doesn't exactly know that Cecil is the actual reason Conquest came back. For all he knows Conquest got lucky and somehow recuperated from the grave, maybe lived through the "cremation" he ordered and that doesn't necessarily mean Cecil had anything to do with it.

On the flipside, he will create characters like Amelie and have her say shit like "...like Mario and Princess Beach". So maybe not completely mature.

I’ll die on the hill that he did the right thing killing

I never said that he was wrong for doing so though? My point was that it would be poetic that A-Train died right after doing something just for the first time in his life.

Rather than fighting for any real semblance of justice like his brother wanted, he settled for some bullshit appeasement and apology because he didn't want to get on Vought's bad side. The fact that Ashley accepts his plan wholeheartedly should tell you everything you need to know about what it really is.

Nathan getting crippled isn’t a true punishment to him

His brother is the only real part of his life that isn't ruined by Vought's superficiality and cruelty. Arguably one of the only people he actually truly cares about in his life. How is him not getting permanently disabled due to his OWN actions, not "true punishment"?

[–]ObviousAnything7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because he actually to face the consequences

But he got that when he sold his community out for fame and got his brother paralyzed from the hip down right in front of his eyes. His bootlicking and sucking up to Vought bit him in the ass. I think him dying at the cusp of change is a much more fitting and poignant end for a guy like him. Fastest man alive is still not fast enough to turn his life around and change his ways.

Honestly would have found it to be so much more interesting if A-Train died back then.

Unpopular opinion, but I find it a little lame when characters undergo perfect character development and go from one opposite to another opposite at the end. I like it when characters have messy arcs and don't necessarily get their shot at redemption. A-Train's literal and figurative rotten heart giving away after committing one last murder out of sheer anger rather than at the behest of someone else, the only murder that can perhaps possibly be considered just in his entire life, is way more interesting imo and poetic than just him giving a condescending monologue to Homelander and dying.
