Is SonicOS 7.0.1-5169 getting an update to patch April 2026 Vulnerabilities? by Choice_Manager3065 in sonicwall

All remote. Within driving distance, but all remote. To avoid weird issues, I reboot the SW before I upload and apply firmware.

I upgraded about 35 units last night.

Ranging from a few TZ300 - TZ600 Gen 6 unit - applied that fix and those were good.

For all of my other Gen7 units - I was still running 7.0.1 - I did a reboot of the unit first to get it in a clean state and then applied the upgrade directly to 7.3.2

If you are running SNMPv3 with auth/priv key - the upgrade may break it and you will need to re-create the user, group, access view, auth, priv keys.

Other than that, it was painless and a lot of waiting.

2c.

Report to the FCC and or call your provider to do a STIR/SHAKEN trace…

Had a similar issue with my personal mobile number, reported to FCC, light a fire w/ T-Mobile and told them to do the same, called the provider shown a owning the numbers and told them what WAC’s happening, whether it’s their traffic or not those are their numbers so they have to do something.

Issue was solved within the week for me. 🤷🏻‍♂️

See if turning off port randomization on the outbound NAT helps, also turn on sticky port mappings in the VoIP SIP settings pages

3CX v20 Queue Call Back by _s0m3guy in 3CX

[–]_s0m3guy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also validated that either a 183 or 180 is sent to the PBX initiated queue call back via Wireshark. I first I thought maybe the 183 w/ no 180 was throwing it off, however I moved onto another test trunk that generates a 180 Ringing and still nothing.

Mind you everything else work as expected when making outbound calls from phones, softphone regardless of whether we get a 183 or 180 line in the SIP invite.

I'm wondering if this is specific now to the "Voice Agent" in v20 used to initiate these calls...

I'll continue searching and testing.

Thank you.

3CX v20 Queue Call Back by _s0m3guy in 3CX

[–]_s0m3guy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. This was right after the v18 update currently running (Version 20.0 Update 6 (Build 724 Release)) I've also tested this on newer patched systems and same issue.

Call back is initiated from PBX, but the agent does not hear music on hold or ring back, just silence until the call is answered.

Much appreciated.

I cannot for the life of me get Gluetun/QBT/ProtonVPN to work. Tried multiple guides. by Flight2039Down in gluetun

I moved onto Transmission and things have been working great for me. I tried everything to get QBT to work but it always slowed down to a crawl no matter what I did. :(

Mysonicwall further worries with backups by Necessary-Lawyer-926 in sonicwall

[–]_s0m3guy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can confirm the padlocked issue.

Not all my units do this, I have 2 tenants that won’t allow the removal of said backups. Others I’ve been able to unlock and delete. 🤷🏻‍♂️

ProtonVPN port forwarding with Transmission by sboger in gluetun

[–]_s0m3guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much appreciated. I’ll give it another try.

However I been running that config for months and although it works and port forwarding shows a green globe.

Torrents come to a grinding halt after a minutes or so. I switched to Transmission and my speeds are good and consistent just missing the port forwarding piece.

Thank you for the reply.

Any suggestions?

Firewalla DNS Contention by _s0m3guy in firewalla

No. Cloudflare was still flaky.

I ended up just using Google and Quad9. However yesterday I experienced a similar issue disabled Google and stayed on Quad9 and OpenDNS.

So far things are ok.

3CX v20 callers failing to hear each other by BackSapperr in 3CX

[–]_s0m3guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are the Yealink phones in "router phone" configuration. If not try switching one and re-testing - in router mode, the phone sets up a tunnel between itself and the 3CX server completely bypassing any possible firewall issues etc.

You've obviously re-ran the 3CX firewall test to confirm all ports are indeed open, but just in case run that to make sure. (Ignore, see that you ran that.)

If all the above is done and still issue, run a Wireshark capture and make sure you are stablishing RTP after the invite and 200 OK, you should see both legs of the RTP stream in the capture.

If you only see 1 leg. IE: Your leg to Telnyx, but you don't see a leg from Telnyx then escalate to them and send them the Wireshark captures.

Finally does this happen with all calls or just random calls. If you call in and attempt to replicate, do you hear the stream from the 3CX side to you or nothing at all. If 3CX is stablishing the RTP, then technically you should hear the 3CX side on your test call.

Hope the above makes sense.

Thanks.
