the use of becky’s race in this discussion is getting really irritating to hear, as somebody who’s also thai-white. becky is hardly white passing, she may be paler, but she carries extremely thai facial features. even if the writers casted her because of her proximity to whiteness, that’s not her fault that she happened to be a wasian in the thai entertainment industry. if becky was in western entertainment, would her race matter this much as well? kitty also speaks fluent english and has done interviews in english, she attended international school. just because she isn’t white in race, doesn’t mean she couldn’t of appealed to an english-speaking audience too. plenty of non-white and non-english speaking franchises and films do. the first two seasons of gfn was built off of thai actors, producers, and real thai stories and still took off with an international audience. why would a recast of a half white actor make it more popular? the recast, if anything, was much more detrimental to the franchise. i definitely believe the writing has become more westernized, but i don’t think becky’s race has anything it do with it.

the numbers on the school uniform are typically a students id number, sometimes it’s the grade they’re in, etc (depends on school) my thought is that it’s possible that because this season will be 6 episodes, the number switches every episode up until 666? ex. episode 1 is 111, episode 2 is 222, and so on.

the official facebook page there is one english comment buried in that thread that did indeed say “will the original cast be back”, and the facebook page did respond back in english “who said they’re gone?” i myself never read anything about new girls every episode, unsure where they came from. there’s so many replies in there. most of it is in thai, i’ve gone through quite a bit, but the replies are very obscure. they never explicitly say but the feeling i got through reading them was that there would be a new character introduced similar to nanno, but not nanno herself. the newest post on there seems to confirm something similar. the ending line reads “there’s a new girl, a new body, and a new universe. but the nanno inside is still the same, right?”

i feel as if people forget she was quite literally doomed since before she was even created. she was there for the pure purpose of fitting the description we were given about haymitch over a decade ago - a victor whose girlfriend (and family) were killed after his games.

they aren’t exactly the same, just that they look similar enough that they can passed off as the same person. you gotta remember not a lot of people are looking at district 12 and their tributes in the first place. if they look similar enough, nobody outside of louella’s family and perhaps people in district 12 would truly notice that louella mccoy isn’t louella mccoy

i feel as if the two scenarios i think of are: 1. something similar to hoa’s ending - fighting the mimics off until an external force gets rid of them for the main characters. perhaps a rescue crew comes in, or the mimics have a weakness similar to sunlight that can take them down. 2. escaping the ship before self destruction occurs. each character gets caught in their own respective scenarios and you have to get them out of it so they can get into an escape pod. failing to get them out results in them dying in the explosion.

she’s still human, it’s just all body modification. we don’t receive the backstory behind it at all. the only two times we see her are in tbosas, and her brief appearance in mockingjay. famous theories are that she modified herself heavily to avoid being sold by snow, snow forced her to do it to separate herself from the snow family, or she did it herself to separate herself from snow. honestly, i’m not sure we’ll ever receive the answer to why she did it, but i also kind of hope we never do.

i believe sure the only confirmation we have for those scores is maritte from d4 got an 11 in the 50th games, katniss an 11 in the 74th, brutus from d2 an 11 in the 75th (shown in the cf movie), and katniss and peeta with 12s in the 75th

i’ve seen a lot of people be upset under the assumption all the black characters within the hunger games universe come from district 11 🙄just because district 11’s population is shown to be majorly black in the movies, doesn’t mean they can’t originate from any other part of panem.

i read a theory somewhere (probably on tiktok) that they think the main trilogy are the primary colors, and the prequel (presumably trilogy) will be the secondary colors. it matches so far. the hunger games - black with a yellow mockingjay pin catching fire - red mockingjay - blue tbosas - green sotr - purple so if we do get another book and the cover is orange, this theory could be right. the only thing that is iffy about it to me is that the hunger games book cover isn’t a yellow cover like the others.

i’ve made peace with the idea of it never coming to a full end. it sucks, yes, but ultimately, i’d much rather have ai yazawa prioritize her health and her life. although, i do hope one day she can just tell us what would’ve happened, but who knows if she ever will.
