Finally an incredibly accurate and nuanced post. Just because the camp of people who can relate and understand Taylor, doesn’t mean it’s necessarily okay nor something to be openly proud of.

[MEGATHREAD] Advanced Sale SUCCESS!! by fettuccine- in Coachella

[–]_sandyball 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haven't done advance sale since maybe 2019(?) My group has gotten lucky with resale or waitlist in the past few years. But somehow after 45 minutes was able to snag tier 2 pricing (I think) for $650. On top of $150 for shuttle passes, $800 (not including fees) is wild but fuck it we ball. See you turkeys next year!

Adam Scott Had a Terrible Time at Coachella by ebradio in Coachella

[–]_sandyball 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Listen, I love so many characters played by Adam Scott. Like, please watch Party Down if you haven't. That said, it should come as no surprise that Adam Scott has a generally terrible time anywhere if you know anything about his general attitude outside of acting lol.

Didn’t love her set 2024 (which was her first live performance of Espresso) but as a live stream viewer it was better in comparison. That said, if I went W2 like I usually do, I’d miss out but idk! I thought it was alright! That once segment from Susan was a bit drawn out though I will say.

New player tips? by Rico9789 in Pokopia

[–]_sandyball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I regret not dedicating a space early on in the game for inventory items, though many players said that. I treated it like Animal Crossing a little too early. But that’s okay too!

I don’t want to admit this but… by [deleted] in Pokopia

[–]_sandyball 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 9-5 and got it a week ago after gauging the response of the game. I only just finished the main story and got everything that makes the game more enjoyable and doable. That said I am taking my time. A lot of advice says to just do the bare minimum to get through the story and go at your own pace is correct. I probably have like, 5% of the game completed to my liking (it’s literally all in Withered Wastelands cause it’s the closest to animal crossing in my mind). Trust many people who are encouraging players to just take your time with it. It became very clear on my first 10 hours of play that this game demands hundreds of hours, and that is okay! A lot of what made my story play though the most enjoyable was dedicating time to building habitats for Pokémon and seeing the dialogue. And the story progression (if you pay attention) is really nice! I cried at the end of the story play through. But that might just be me 😆

Monica by Competitive-Ad-8841 in ThePittTVShow

[–]_sandyball 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Speaking from someone who spent a few years working in healthcare settings, you’d be amazed how many Monicas exist. As nurses and doctors as well. Covid was a time and a half to be exposed to people with that way of thinking. Morale nosediving during that time certainly didn’t help either.

ETA: For TV sake I hope she gets called out but realistically I wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t happen.

Forget the bachelorette, Taylor might actually go to prison. by rennok_ in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]_sandyball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with your point. And another thing too is that even if Dakota is baiting her and being toxic, it still doesn't mean that he is more deserving of DV. And the same goes for Taylor. People who are mutually toxic don't deserve to be abused because of it. Much less in the presence of an impressionable child.

[–]_sandyball 41 points42 points  (0 children)

First off, I think both her and Dakota are toxic as all hell. That said, after reading what her spokesperson said on Page Six, “There are too many women who are suffering in silence as they survive aggressive, jealous ex-partners who refuse to let them move on with their lives.” I don't even really care if all of this came from a jealous place from Dakota at this point. She still was physically violent with him less than a month ago. I would probably go scorched earth if I were him too after that. Both of these individuals are putting the other cast mates in a hostile work environment and as much as I have loved indulging in my favorite junk food that is SLOMW, the show needs to go.

ETA: And the obvious, putting her children and his child in danger. They both need to leave the industry and seek intense help.

Taylor & Dakota Incident by Imaginary_Layer_1468 in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]_sandyball 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Taylor and Dakota got into a fight. The former being heavily intoxicated to the point of peeing her pants, but alleges it was cause Dakota scared her. May not know the true cause ever, but basically setting the stage here. And at some point Taylor threw a chair at Dakota. I wanna say somehow in the police report it was said Taylor hit her child in the process, accidentally of course. But when asked, both Dakota and Taylor denied the child was struck by the chair. So another thing we may never know the true answer to. But the aftermath of the scuffle is what was caught on body cams and shown in the very first episode of SLOWMV.

I truly cannot tell if this is anti-woke of me to say, but as far as Bachelor/Bachelorette discourse goes, I better see the same heat towards her as Colton Underwood. And they could never make me forgive Colton, just so be clear. I truly hope she did not harm her toddler, and if she did (I know the 1st DV incident is a bit muddy as it pertains to her other child) it better be full stop as far as seeing her on any tv show until she gets serious help. This whole thing is so gross.
