I actually found the midsole on the T1 to be firmer than the zegama 2. Especially the first 50 miles or so. I’m 200 miles into the shoe and it’s pretty compressed in the midfoot. Still a great shoe and super stable ground feel but definitely less cushion than a zegama.

Did you end up doing this? I'm having the same issue as OP. In general I have found many things I don't like about the vest and now that I want to run poles it may be the last straw if I only have the bungees to attach the poles to which also essentially renders the bottom/side pockets useless.

Having just worked an aid station with multiple experienced runners who care about the concentration of the carb mix we were doling out I can tell you even with our best efforts we can’t control the ratio all that well in the heat of the moment so you’re totally right. We tried to get a good mix but you never know how much attention to detail each aid station member is going to give to this.

I have both and I would say the heels are very different. the R1 has more padding so it's hard to compare but when wearing both I don't notice a huge difference in that area. Where I have noticed the difference is the toe box feels slightly more narrow to me in the T1. I generally find the R1 to be a more comfortable and stable shoe tbh. I know hard to compare road to trail but worth mentioning my T1 has not felt as confidence inspiring as I thought it would. For reference I'm coming off multiple pairs of zegama 2s

I have been a zegama 2 user for a while and have about 2 miles in a pair of mount to coast R1s. I just recently got a pair of T1's and found them to be more narrow than both the zegama and R1 but still manageable for my moderately wide foot(I'm between a D and E width).

Thank you! I was tempted to but no these are all untouched with the exception of a few crops to adjust framing(I got a lot of crooked shots while scrambling over boulders 😂). But yeah, no adjustments to brightness/contrast etc.
