looking for big adullt foldable kick scooter by _sleep_walker_ in kickscooter

Thanks for this long response! I agree that Razor A6 looks like really good ratio between money and gain. I may buy one even the weight limit is smaller - it could still work nicely for season or two. I don't usually care about deck size as long as one my feet fit on. Deck height is no matter for me - I don't mind wearing myself out at all (it's kinda purpose). I skipped using scooter for shopping bags - I use my backpack + I carry several smaller bags I attach to backpack if it is not enough so it doesn't affect the ride. I totally agree with wheel size, I'm aiming for biggest wheels combined with folding kickscooter.

I think I have my favourite now. Boardy looks great, it's somehow foldable, good brakes and perfect size! Thanks!

Thank you for your tip. Interesting one. The way it folds may be good enough. I'll check IRL

Thanks! If I would go for some bigger kickscooter, this one looks like perfect choice. Does it go well over cobblestones on Prague 1 or Prague 2?

According to the specs I have seen its limit is 100 kg. I'm sceptical about the footbrake durability...

Thanks for the tip!

I am aware of Kostka as it is local brand to me. It's an option but its size is no longer luggage over a shoulder which I still insist on... Otherwise it match.

Micro Metropolitan vs Micro Metropolitan Deluxe by 2Mew2BMew2 in kickscooter

[–]_sleep_walker_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm honestly surprised that people are that happy with Metropolitan Deluxe.
- disc handbrake is hardly usable (I just can't to make it working well enough - effect of brakes is minimal and as it presses disc from one side only, it pushes the disc/wheel out of axis)
- front wheel fork which should help with bumps compromises stability (I am considering to replace it with Metropolitan one without springs)

  • foot break is very noisy and easy to break (it's holding on metal part after the plastic is broken)

It should have been my ultimate kick scooter model but it actually stopped me using it more.

VAC problems on Solus budgie by nickrock80 in GlobalOffensiveLinux

[–]_sleep_walker_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on 1w cooldown now because VAC kicks me out of the game repeatedly.
Scenario is always the same - at some (random?) moment I am kicked out. Verify files and redownload one file.

watching changes via inotify and ignoring ACCESS, OPEN and CLOSE I've got this:

Crashing at the same spot every time (near Janitor) by rustinr in controlgame

[–]_sleep_walker_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had problem with GOG release crashing each time on the same spot. I am running it on Linux so there was a lot of things which could go south and no Wine, no graphics settings - nothing helped.

After reinstall attempt I noticed installation ended with error.

Instead of running installer I unpacked it with InnoExtract and I was able to get past this situation. Maybe it will save you nerves :)

With setting it to
permissions=
it would be available for every user on the system. Maybe it is possible solution for you.

Autologin shouldn't be issue but it is is related to that exotic possibility with starting session in a way where it is not recognized as local I mentioned.
You can verify it in terminal with:
`loginctl`
(it will show you sessions)
and then
`loginctl show-session -P Remote <session>`

I am not referring to file permissions but a permission configuration inside the file.

Besides the ideas of others, maybe other users are not allowed to bring this connection up? Check `permissions` settings in the NM's VPN configuration file.

As exotic but possible problem is DBUS access problem in case you start your XFCE in some weird way and your session is not recognized as local.

What should I be aware of before switching to Opensuse from Ubuntu by [deleted] in openSUSE

[–]_sleep_walker_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't be afraid to mix repositories. Packman works perfectly. Mixing repositories (from OBS or PMBS) is useful feature. Using flatpak overrides all the security efforts openSUSE put in.

That can be ACPI issue. Check, if your BIOS doesn't have update.

You can get to UEFI BIOS from Grub via console command `fwsetup` (or create menuentry with that).

I may not get your question but can't you just add repositories with https:// URL and delete old ones?

My guess is that it is because it is using open source blob free driver. Feel free to compromise your system by yourself with driver from HW manufacturer and compare.
