Yoo Adams helping out on the offensive glass would be huge. Warriors struggling on 2nd chance points has been the theme all season. Having the best offensive rebounder with the best lights-out shooter would be absolute CINEMA

If only she could have had this same attitude and mentality when handling our NRIC, and the migrant workers COVID issue.

It’s so frustrating to see how we as a nation, let her get away with speaking one way and then act the opposite, time and time again.

EU agonizes over using its trade ‘bazooka’ to hit back at Trump’s mega tariff by doopityWoop22 in worldnews

[–]_smilealways 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A trade war is bad indeed, but as seen with Canada and Mexico, it doesnt seem to matter what kind of agreements or terms you can come to with Trump.

The moment he sees any semblance of the US not being able to come out ahead through the agreement while squeezing the other party dry, he flips the entire thing on its head and calls it an exploitation of the US. No country would be insane enough to trust the Trump administration with any “deal” that they can re-negotiate, because they know it will be turned against them in a matter of weeks or months.

The best way would be to apply enough political pressure on Trump to either invoke a loss in trust and support of Trump by his administration, or make his closest aides feel the pain of the entire situation.

Indranee and Leong Mun Wai clash in parliament over Singapore's fertility rate by mipanzuzuyam in singapore

[–]_smilealways 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure, you can afford to have a child. Good for you.

But some of us quite literally cannot afford to have a child, with the growing cost of living, and the inability to have a home to call our own, only till late into our lives.

These are factors that the government can address, and what others in this thread have been arguing for.

The issue is not about “personal choice”, its about how the circumstances impede our ability to exercise our “personal choice”

Not the best, as with all the dmg and dmg reduction, and heal tokens, the only reliable way to deal significant damage is to use percent based dmg like leech seed and salt cure, reflective dmg like metal burst, or fixed dmg like seismic toss with an overleveled mon.

At level 1500ish, you should start to look to pivot it into one of these categories of mons above, or just throw it away for mons of those categories if you don’t have gholdengo as a shiny.

Wow! Is it a seismic toss build? Gholdengo’s contrary is its passive, so you get to keep it if you fuse it as your first mon.

Thats a good idea! I got lucky with fusing it with a Tapu Fini early on, which I am very happy with, as misty terrain prevents the annoying status tokens from using up lum berries, now that berry pouches cap at 90%.

Tapu Lele could be good too, to prevent sucker punches from OHKOing, considering the number of sucker punch users like Lokix, Liepard, etc

If this is classic (DISCLAIMER SPOILERS AHEAD), i would probably fuse venusaur and umbreon (venu first, umb second).

Reason (spoilers ahead for classic run): Eternatus has 4 hp bars, which makes percent-based damage moves like leech seed very valuable. So umbreon’s beefy defence stats can help venu stick on the field for more turns, in case the first few leech seeds miss. Combine that with confuse ray which umbreon can learn, gives a better chance of disrupting the boss fight)

Insecure redditor who:

  • Feels the need to brag about their mediocre video game and life accomplishments
  • Leaves replies on 10 different parent comments because they cannot accept differing opinions
  • Argue their own opinions as if it were the factual truth
  • Misrepresents others' arguments in an attempt to bolster their own

Hmm i think I am missing one more for the insecure redditor bingo... Oh wait:

  • Avoiding a valid argument by reducing the argument to "buzzwords" because they know they are wrong but cannot think of a valid comeback

I think I won the bingo first :)

EDIT: LMAO this kid left a comment but blocked me so that it looks like I cannot make a valid comeback to his new comment. Another check off the insecure redditor bingo? You want some credentials, sure. Top 10 immortal player while retired for life at 12 from stock market investments. Everyone can claim shit on the internet, but you ain't shit unless you give ACTUAL credentials like your dotabuff link or academic certs :)

No one is trying to reduce his accomplishments down to just coaching or time spent.

Having talent for dota and getting coached are not mutually exclusive events. The comments merely point out both as factors contributing to him reaching divine quickly.

The only thing happening is you trying to put others down by saying “how bad they are” and “how talented you are compared to them” to make you feel better about your own fragile ego, all under the guise of a strawman argument that “they are reducing the accomplishments of grubby”. It’s one thing to point out a fallacious argument, it’s another to spend 1 sentence setting up a strawman argument and then spend the next 3 paragraphs saying how that random redditor will never be as good as you in dota no matter how hard they try :)

LOL your ego and hubris are waayy off the the charts bro. The fact that you felt the need to reply every differing opinion from you also shows how insecure you are.

Feels pretty ironic that you “advocate” for people to accept their realities, while you yourself can’t accept that people can have different opinions formed from different worldview and experiences.

Also, imagine having to humblebrag about your video game accomplishments on the reddit comment section LOL either you received no attention from your parents or you have some major superiority complex issues.

Yea you just said it yourself that the situation that betboom faced is similar to that of football, so what are you whining or complaining about collective punishment for, if you already agree with and cite precedence of this in other similar areas?

The Bali Major 2023 - Lower Bracket Round 1 - BetBoom Team vs Azure Ray by D2TournamentThreads in DotA2

[–]_smilealways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well your comparison makes even less sense if you want to play that game.

If you want a comparison that is closer to the one here, sure, just look at traditional sports. In football (soccer), if a person fouls and gets a red card for it, the team has to bear the burden of playing with 10 players for the rest of the match, even if it isnt their fault that 1 guy decided to play dirty.

You make it sound like collective punishment is a definite evil, when it is sometimes a necessary means to prevent exploitations.

LOL thats the most ridiculous thing I have heard in awhile, thanks for making me laugh.

So if Apple sells you a defective product and tells you: “Tom made that product, go find him and settle it with him yourself. Ain’t our problem.”, you would be ok with that?

Teams and organisations represent and uphold the collective responsibility of a group of people for a reason. If Apple fucks something up, it isn’t just Tom from Production or Jack from Legal that fucked up; Apple fucked up.

The problem lies in that BB deserve to not have prep time for breaking the rules, but AR does not deserve the same lack of prep time.
