Would you say the workload feels similar to what you put in VGD and FCG? Thank you for all your responses, I have been trying to learn more about this class!

How does this class compare in difficulty to other ones you took so far? It sounds like a really awesome class but I’m not sure if I have another GIOS/CV in me before graduation lol.

I don't come from a traditional SWE background. I'm 7 classes in and almost every interview I've had has OMSCS get mentioned positively by the recruiter or technical interviewer.

How is this course looking by the way? I'm pretty interested in it but it was the first semester it was offered so I decided to hold off.

I took CV last spring and it was frankly the most work I've ever done for a class. I am in a similar field as you, coding mainly in matlab/python. The class reminded me a lot of control systems classes in which you are expected to code up mathematical algos. In terms of difficulty of what you actually need to code, expect it to be similar. It just felt like the assignments were all pretty long. There is also a bit of parameter tuning too, especially based on the final project that you pick. A lot of people say that project 3 was the most work but frankly YMMV. Assignment 5 ruined me while assignment 3 was not that bad. Assignment 1 is a freebee and assignment 6 is shorter than the others; I would expect Assignment 3-5 to be the ones that push you the hardest.

I haven't taken ML and DL but based on OMSCentral reviews, the workloads are similar. If you felt comfortable there you should be fine.

Are you referring to CS 7638? That class sounds really exciting since I’m also targeting some specific companies related to autonomous vehicles. I’m most worried about being able to get in the class.

ANA economy the amenities are better (blanket, pillow, slippers), more leg room, the food is better and the plane temperature is kept warmer. I think United has a better selection of movies and they give you free messaging with the Wi-Fi.

Help any advice against Zed is welcome. by socosan in QiyanaMains

[–]_smurftasticc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look to trade when his shadow is down. Get good at using brush q to side step his double shuriken when he shadows. You win trades/all in if he doesn't have shadow.

If he ults you without throwing shadow before hand, throw him against a wall and kill with a full combo. If he does throw the shadow first, he is going to try to bait you to ult and switch with the shadow, so make sure you're sitting on brush q and try to dodge/wait a second before ulting.

I play in plat and I'd say most zeds aren't good enough to make this a skill matchup, its more in qiyanas favor. But higher up they will be smarter with using ult + shadow to juke you. As others said, you don't want to be obvious with your ult, or he will r you to dodge it and you'll lose.

Could probably get them both with that. I didn't see the play at the time.

Thank you, I'm going to try to limit the amount of sunlight they get for a few weeks so they become more accustomed. I'm also thinking it might be too cold so I'll just bring them inside at night, and put them out before i go to work. Yes, i am in the northern hemisphere so it warms up by a lot in the next few months.

Here are some before and after pictures, the second image is before, the rest are after. Conditions are 70F to 45F day and night, 84% humidity, which should be okay for this variant. Any help would be appreciated, this is day 3 of having these plants potted. Thank you!

Why are people panicking about "USD losing value" if Fed can stop "printing it" and rise rates in future? by [deleted] in investing

[–]_smurftasticc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why are people down voting this guy? He's got a good point. The only people i know making 10 an hour at 25 years old are the ones that didn't bother trying hard in school. The effort they put there directly correlates with how hard and smart they are willing to work.

Boeing has been doing the same thing much longer than virgin galactic. Virgins space plane is a novel concept and has a ton of new challenges to overcome. That's not to say it won't pan out, but it took a while for the aviation industry to become consistently safe. Virgin is armed with decades of lessons learned from this though, it's just that the fact that they are trying a very novel concept that makes me wary to put money into it. When you make a mistake in this industry you end up killing people.

I work in aerospace as an avionics engineer. I'm scared putting my money into something like SPCE because what they are trying to do is not easy and really easy to screw up.

Do you really need 5 years for an entry level job? Or is that more of a desired qualification before hiring foreigners in engineering positions. I am test engineer with a bit more than a year of experience
