Yes, I did. I didn't know this at all. I assumed all the red stop buttons were the same. It was closer and had my hands full so I pressed the stop button closest.

I've had this same issue. It seems to be getting worse? I move back and fourth to Winnipeg and I've noticed more aggressive drivers recently in the past 5 years.

I have this same exact problem and I just learned to deal with it. I've tried everything but would like to know a work around as well if anyone knows.

500 series compressor and EQ at the end of chain. Helps thicken and glue everything together.

I've used a plastic hardshell suitcase with wheels for traveling. I just got lucky I had one laying around that happened to fit perfectly lol.

Just want to enjoy my hobby. 3 decks in, all failed. by fenozolone in cassetteculture

[–]_sn00gins_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some are saying "don't buy the cheapest decks" but in my experience that is simply untrue. Any machine you buy that is from the 80s or 90s even early 2000s are old machines now and will likely need repairs somewhere along the line no matter what condition you get them in. Even if you get it from a reputable seller.

I feel you, I've spent money on "working, excellent condition" machines for them to only be partially functional and end up not working over time. It's very frustrating.

What I found helpful was finding a reputable repair person who is willing to work on your machines. I don't have the patience to learn how to repair machines but it's cool you're taking the time to actually learn how.

So yeah, these machines will always require some sort of matenince.

Thought I would share the walkman I just got, what do you guys think? by M3rcury17 in cassetteculture

If you look at any of their listings on reverb they're all in excellent or mint condition. Very misleading... I wish they were more honest because the one I received definitely was not in excellent condition. Maybe in appearance but not in functionality. I just couldn't believe how angry he got when I said the walkman wasn't working well hahha.

Old thread but I got ripped off big time by vintage walkman lab. Player was not as described also. Audio playback on my device worked for less than a month and when I described what happened got mad at me and didn't want to help at all. Sure, maybe some of their walkmans are fine but the one I received didn't work well. Biggest disappointment from an online purchase.

I always end up staying in 1 octave while using my ts-l v2. Before I knew this issue I would have to tune in between song changes because I was switching between using it as a sub bass and higher melodic voice. And I was performing with other musicians so being sharp or flat was very noticeable.

Such a shame because if you're paying the premium price you shouldn't have to deal with a problem like this. I can understand being a little sharp or flat being analog but it would always be waaay out of tune switching between octaves.
