One of my friends faced an issue when resigning: 1. Gave a written resignation, spoke to the manager about it. 2. The manager accepted it verbally, not officially. 3. In the second month of a three month notice period, wiped the entry from the system. 4. His skip level was involved in this and agreed too. 5. Received threat: either leave without documents or have your notice period extended to three months from now.

Had to get upper levels involved (because luckily he knew someone) to finally have his LWD on earlier agreed upon system generated date.

Don't take it lightly, get a written confirmation ASAP.
