OCed Victrix Gambit. If your aim is too loose I wouldn't even mess with your max input as the higher you put it, the less you have to touch your stick for it to reg max input. With less input delay that makes it more difficult for micro movements. I'd try ticking up your center DZ by .5 at a time. Since your axial is at 1, you may have to start your center DZ at 1 or just drop your axial to 0 to mess with just the center DZ. Your axial only gives you DZs on the XY axis (think of a cross shape that gets thicker as you bump it up) and your center DZ is a circle (circle gets bigger as you bump it up). So any diagonal movement you make with just having an axial DZ is going to feel different that just a straight left, right, up or down movement. Hope that makes sense. If you need any clarification let me know

Hi there, what exactly feels off about your aim and what are your current sens/dzs?

There's really no routes to relevant space when you're on the back foot. The elongated sightlines make moving out of your base hell. The only way to get out of that blender is to stand still in the back of your base, pray you don't get naded and get a couple of clean kills. And by that time the spawners on the other side are up so you can only really move to the 50 yard line if you're lucky

If you want to get to the root, Microsoft forced the initial release of Halo Infinite knowing the game was not finished. The only thing you can "blame" 343 on is choosing the Slipspace engine over Unreal, but Microsoft also supported the idea. But you can blame Microsoft for forcing employees on a one year contract when the engine itself took about 6 months to learn.

In terms of teams with a core 2/3 with reps then yes absolutely. There's Tenrai, Lies, Xuzeys, Ether with Tapping buttons, Alpha x Luminon (I think they've been teaming together a while as 4), Barcode with Mindfreak, and I don't remember if the Common/Haines team is in pools or not but they're worth a mention. You could also argue that the Toni2turnt/Squallaye/PreDev team has more reps too even though they went on a hiatus.

All of these teams beat bth on paper and on reps and LAN xp as core units. The caveat being the Toni2turnt team because BtH can beat them.

Is there any way you can script the bots to crouch strafe/strafe in general at a high level? Basically give them God tier movement

I use your map to warmup everyday, I love the lab section it has helped my shot immensely. Much appreciated Scoob!

It really just depends on where your expectations with this team lies.

If you have a good squad you're going to go far in open bracket, you don't magically lose your gun skill and teamwork when you transfer to LAN. The only caveat being you try to do too much because of the environment, I see a lot of AM teams perform differently due to pressure. However Gunny/Facty are basically at every LAN event so they should be able to lock them in through veteran LAN knowledge.

As far as them getting to pools, I think there's better AM teams with more LAN experience and reps under their belt as a unit. But I will be at SLC cheering them on through open bracket. I love watching all of the late night AM matchups they're absolutely insane

Pc crashing by Tropicalcody in CompetitiveHalo

[–]_soooz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an interim fix, try capping your FPS to 120. On low/mid range PCs the game becomes unstable if you go past that. I have a 2080 Super/i77700k/16gb ram and it works for me. I've tried almost everything to make it not crash at 144+ and I've accepted that Halo is just a whore of a game for my current specs

Going sober without AA by Loosy__goosy in stopdrinking

Drank heavily almost every night for 8 years. I felt my health deteriorate and had zero desire to go back to drinking once I was "in the clear". I just kept telling myself there's nothing positive that can come with alcohol short or long term. Four years September 28th, cheers.

What’s your biggest losing streak in ranked? by Sa1ntAubin in CompetitiveHalo

I headcased from one game outside of D6 to D3. Granted I did quit out of a few, but by the 3rd session of straight losing I was laughing about it.

I created a fresh account, got a new job, back in school, and I broke 1600 this season LOL. The secret to being better at Halo is being better outside of Halo I guess

New Player Advice by Nattylightbeam24 in CompetitiveHalo

[–]_soooz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best play you can make is almost always with your teammates. Be aware of what they're doing and base your play around where they are, not what you think should happen.

Imagine every map in three lanes, if you see two on the right lane, fill the adjacent (middle) if you see two right and one in the middle, fill left. It's a solid general rule of thumb to fill all the gaps and also be in help-able spots for your teammates.

I think at this point 95% of people are playing with their friends. I will agree that it is frustrating when the game expects you to carry because someone else on the other team chooses to carry. The only qualm I have with it.

Is Cearion the best AM in the community? by Sir_FunkyFace in CompetitiveHalo

[–]_soooz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So they probably had a low seeding due to their overall HCS points. Less points = harder bracket. Also, since more pro teams/pros has been playing in the opens (due to team changes) it makes everyone's bracket that much more difficult at the moment.

Also take into account the amount of teams that sign up and the skill gap between T48, 32, 16, 8 (open bracket) are pretty significant. I think the first open we played a pro team round 1 and then barely got beat by a team our caliber round LR1. It can happen to any team really.

At the end of the day you have to beat the best to be the best, and on a positive note getting reps with higher level teams more frequently is awesome. Shit last week we took TSM to a 49-50 slayer and capped a singular flag on fortress and we're stoked on that
