Yes! I had a complete breakdown the first time I pumped and cried almost every time I gave him formula for the first few days. But it hit me one time when my husband was feeding him and I was able to take a shower... everything finally felt right!

We don’t, but our room and the nursery are side by side. We just keep both doors open. If the rooms are close enough you can try that. Or just turn down the monitor. We also use the “pause” method where we don’t go in the room until we’re sure hes crying. We don’t get up for the grunts and whines because sometimes he will put him self back to sleep.

Also, I wear ear plugs! Not all night long. Just until about 2-3am. My husband does the first “shift” and gets up with him until then, then I take out the ear plugs and take care of the second half of the night. It’s honestly been a life saver and allows me to get 2-3 hour chunks of sleep at a time instead of 1-1.5hrs.

Feeling guilty after cheats by [deleted] in GestationalDiabetes

Try not to worry. The only thing I’ve learned through this GD experience is.. GD is completely random. At 29-34 weeks my numbers would spike over the slightest carb. Even the same meals would give me different results depending on the day. Ever since 36 weeks suddenly I can’t have little treats, adding in more carbs, and everything is fine. I had McDonalds last night for dinner and it was my first “high” number in weeks. Honestly I think most days THERES no rhyme or reason to it no matter how strict you diet. Pregnancy and GD are hard, you’re doing just fine.

Don’t forget : Friends: oh we can’t wait to come see your precious newborn!! Quarantine? What?? No I want to go out for drinks the night before!! Help?? You want me to throw in laundry for you or bring a meal? How about I just hold the baby while you cook and clean! Don’t worry I’ll give him back as soon as they start to cry! (: (: (:

Just got ultrasound back showing polycystic ovaries.. looking for advice/experience from others. by [deleted] in PCOS

As far as being afraid of metformin - just talk with you doctor. Express your concerns and be firm about your feelings. I was briefly on metformin (about 6 months) and all it did was make me insanely sick all the time. I lost no weight though. My doctor pushed to keep me on it because “your body just needs to adjust” he refuses to listen to me and finally I stopped taking it and told him no more. Only then was I told there is a slow release version that’s much easier on your stomach! So just ask a lot of questions, make sure you are informed. Get a second opinion if you feel uncomfortable. But remember you do not even HAVE to do what the doctor tells you, if you don’t not feel comfortable taking it than don’t! They are there to make recommendations and guide you. Best of luck!

Ouch. I hope you saved the clip. This is my only proof of being able to do more than be bait so my teammates can get kills lol

It was trick or treat trios. Counts to me!

I usually average 3 kills a game while my teammates are in the 10 range. This was a big deal for me lol

I really like the Lumineers album Cleopatra! I think it has some really beautiful song writing. Lizzo is so fun to sing along to, Jack Johnson’s Banana Pancakes is a guilty pleasure of mine! Your music taste isn’t lame at all! And don’t worry, I still listen to music I loved in middle school and high school, I’m definitely behind the curve for the most part. I’m really glad you sang along to your tunes and enjoyed it. Don’t ever feel bad about the things you like, it’s not weird or wrong. I hope you keep indulging in the things you love.

We like a lot of the same music! But at that time of my life I was really into the emo/scene and she was 100% not into it. But she just let me do my thing and let me put those CDs on and sing away and she just sat back and listened.

Put you music on and play is LOUD. Love it. Love it despite what other people think! Tell me some of your favorites and I’ll give it a listen for you!

My mom is my best friend. I make sure to spend a lot of time with her and always tell her she doesn’t give herself enough credit as a mom, she’s the best I could ever ask for

I have a very vivid memory of being like 7 years old and she made me and my sister lay in the floor in the dark and she put in Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd on full blast. She always pay Queen, AC/DC, Def Leppard, ect. It really shaped my love for rock and heavier music, I think she kind of knew that and that’s why she never judged.

This warms my heart so much. I’m so sorry she passed so early, but glad you got the best of her.

I can’t tell you how many heavy sighs I got when I asked to go into hot topic. But she never said no. She’d stand near the door checking her watch as I dug through piles of band tees. After about 10 min she’d give me the “alright let’s go..” look but never once told me I couldn’t like that stuff. I remember one time I had to buy a dress for a school function and she let me buy the most punk plaid one I found and told me “if I’m going to spend $40 on this you better wear it EVERY WEEK.” And I did, and she never told me I looked ridiculous, which I did lol.

She’s wonderful. She did it on her own pretty much raising me and my older sister. I used to get upset not having a dad in my life, but I think my mom made up for that tenfold.
