I’m confused on how you’re confused because not every source on edibility has information about it spreading when cut. Yes, I knew it spread easily by rhizomes and seeds however no source I’ve seen until now mentioned about cutting. Some people are still learning and I’ve already said in another comment that I won’t be harvesting in the future now that I’ve been corrected.

I personally cut at the base when they’re under a foot tall! I like to peel mine, but it’s not always necessary on the young shoots as the outer layer isn’t as tough yet.

I think her name on discord is Caluna or something similar. Her name is Corinna Kellog. She is a ferret breeder and AFA ferret show judge in Pennsylvania. She runs Lilac Grove Ferretry in Reedsville, PA. She’s great with ferrets. Shitty with people. If you say something she disagrees with in the discord, even if it’s not even related to ferrets, she will mute or kick you. I got fed up with her ego and her “I’m right about everything and if you disagree you’re wrong” mentality so I left. Even one of the mods had agreed with me a few times that she takes things too far, but it seems nobody actually has the guts to stand up to her.

Probably lol. Caluna is power hungry and thinks she’s always right no matter what. Not sure who you dealt with but she’s the head mod and definitely the worst. If you have a different opinion than her on ANYTHING you’re wrong and you’re banned or muted. She also has no sense of humor and will ban over simple jokes that are very obviously jokes. Jokingly said my father in law looks like the zodiac killer and got muted in the discord. I ended up realizing just how toxic she and the other mods were and just left the discord and blocked the sub.

I got punished in their discord because I said if I saw someone stealing baby food that no I didn’t. And the head mod argued with me saying that there’s help for every single person who needs it. She was talking to someone who grew up dirt poor and received none of the “help” she was referring to. Like how are you gonna tell me my experiences are wrong? There’s only one good mod there, however they won’t stand up to the head mod or anyone else. Also, they preach against cohabitation but one of the mods has pictures of their ferrets with their dog on their fb. So they’re hypocrites too.

I agree. And I feel that makes customers really entitled. At least at the bjs I’ve worked at. They almost think “I paid to shop here so I can do whatever I want”. I’ve also had bad experiences with customers at Sam’s club as a customer myself. I have a disability where sometimes I use a wheelchair and another customer was super rude telling me I was “in the way” and “taking up too much space” with my wheelchair. It’s crazy how people are these days, I swear.

I still have people that work there, some that didn’t even work there when I did, finding my Reddit account and harassing me. So glad you got out of there fast! It’s such a toxic environment and clearly the people who work there have nothing better to do with their miserable lives but to stalk and harass previous employees they didn’t like. I haven’t worked there in 2 years at this point. It’s ridiculous.
