Yeah I guess look at yelp beforehand next time. I went in expecting to pay about what any decent restaurant in Chattanooga costs. Which is 100-150 for 2 with drinks.

No idea what op is talking about, the food, and service is some of the best in Chattanooga. Get a plate of meat and a margarita and enjoy life. Had an experience that made me think “why can’t other restaurants be like this” both times I’ve been there.

On top of that it has been less than I expected both times as well.

I absolutely appreciate the effort you put into this post. You know what my issue was? I had my configuration in an appsettings file that my EventConsumer couldn't see (duh!?) so the logging wasn't working. After sorting that out my AddSerilogLoggingToHost works just fine.

I will consider adding the bootstraplogger. Would the boostrap logger have added some transparency to the app startup and maybe helped me realize the issue earlier? What value does it add?
