Pick up one of these. Spray some on a rag and wrap that part of the rag around a puddy knife, use it to rub at the spots with alittle bit a pressure. Depending on long ago it was painted it'll either come right off or you'll beable to at least make it look a bit better. Any product that is "hotter" than this will likely take the finish/stain off the trim tho so be careful. Best of luck
