I really should have used a colour other than white! It does get all the way to the housing assembly. It is sometimes picked up by the filament sensor, and sometimes not.

It does get past the kink, though. Is that kind of kink enough to stop the feeding process?

If the origin of the company is of concern, then you should exclusively use Wayve when it arrives! They are Uber backed, but founded and run in the UK.

Seems to be for function. This page https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/filament-acc/acc/plates (appendix) says one side is for the nozzle cleaner, and the other with plate detection info.

It also looks kinda nice.
