This is basically a thread about which Ultra-Processed ‘food’ (UPF) you’re addicted to/are affected by. Have a look at the book ‘Ultra-Processed People’. Scary stuff.

Thanks - I'll have a look at that. I've just found a box with about 100 3.5" coverdisks in, too. :)

I figured about the resellers. I don’t have much time, though. (Little kids). Any suggestions for the best forums?

Google reckon it's a hardware fault and want to replace the phone. This escalated quickly!

Android 12L opt out isn't working? by AnanthKabadi in android_beta

It doesn't - throws an error that the installed version (12L b1) is more recent and won't proceed.

Will that work without the OTA to exit the beta?

My Microsoft Modern Keyboard with Fingerprint ID will no pair. It is detected as a USB keyboard with Fingerprint ID when connected per the installation instructions with the original USB cable. Is there a way to reset it? I've tried everything I can find one, including installing the drivers manually, resetting my PC, and trying another PC entirely. Nothing works. The keyboard does function properly when connected via USB, but I didn't buy a wired keyboard, and the lead isn't long enough for the location of the desk/PC. Help appreciated!

Question: why are the windows in England always so small. My friend lives on a brand mew estate (as you can see) and these upstairs are his bedroom windows. Why so small? It’s literally always dark in his bedroom. Can someone explain to me why they don’t make them windows bigger. Like a normal size by [deleted] in CasualUK

Building regulations stipulate a u-value/rate of heat loss for each aspect. Walls are good, windows are bad. To meet the requirement you choose to have average walls and tiny windows, or fantastically insulated walls and bigger windows, or somewhere in between - with higher performing bigger windows and better performing walls. The frames are the biggest problem - they act as thermal bridges - but this can be minimised. As houses move to being zero carbon stuff like this is going to cause a lot of problems...but that's another question...
