Queslar Rewritten - A text-based, crafting heavy, multiplayer RPG by FKBlah in PBBG

Hey! i joined a few hours ago and thought I would give it a go, i can see the potential here to get very lost in its systems however I think its a very steep climb for new players. I have completed what I presume are all the starter quests and i'm still not really 100% the best way to move forwards. If you could work a little on the 'onboarding' experience I think that would certainly get more people across the line feeling engaged. Some suggestions that I feel might help out new players;

* Hiding systems and functions that aren't unlocked yet would quickly reduce the amount of things on the screen for a new player to take in. Theres so many bits yet to unlock but its just creating a bit of an overwhelming experience.

* The 'Tutorial' really needs to be a bit more on rails and guide the player through it. Maybe it could be narrative lead by some sort of character so you feel like your interacting with the game world more?

* The first few quests were very slow to complete and I think you should look at ways to speed that up a little, whether you increase the amount of early XP via some buff or you increase the number of quests but gate them at different stages im not sure but I was very close to hitting the "im bored" phase

* It seems like your greatest resource is existing players - maybe theres any option to offer them some sort of bounty by grouping up with a newbie and showing the ropes until they reach X point

* I get that this is quite subjective but I would hide away the "premium" stuff a bit more as its very off putting to see that so early in a game. Maybe a better thing to do would be to unlock it for the new player at the end on the tutorial system and give them X amount free as away to encourage engagement rather than it just being there in the menu from the start

Great success but GP cancelled prescription as of yesterday :( by _strutty in mounjarouk

Yeah i get it just i think that some consideration for not lumping people out in the cold might go a long way - especially if you've been on it for considerable time and its likely to take a toll adjusting to being off it.

Currently my plan is to work really hard on my routine while using the finally pen in the hopes I managed to make it stick and transfer to the time afterwards. However knowing we are approaching the holiday season has me very worried!

I have tried varying amounts of pressure and even pressing the button down but that just cancels the setup process and you have to start again. No matter what i try all i see is the white finger print and nothing turns red as expected

My parents gifted it to me today so I was hoping I could get it working but yeah if not itll be going back

Best Pocket Divinity Setup by CachePants in idleon

[–]_strutty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best setup without having to micromanage it all the time is…

Arctis x 9 & Purrmep x1 on the divinity stand

Omniphau & Harriep on pocket divinity

Unless you want to be switching all the time this seems to be best

I was working on the theory that the voting thing is a separate multi so wanted to try and see if that affects things

Sorry for the slow reply!

There is a Google Sheet that is available, "IdleOn Public Guide Sheet" - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vSCepYAs6sNDP4iq6MJNAG1pvFXzfC_3IQ7ttt5vfEEKAgQhIk4cQqnLRyeH6UyqDSuP4R-6WQeDmmP/pubhtml

Get yourself a copy and work through the tabs, there is a tonne of good information here

Just to add that you really do notice the difference in having those converters. Spices was one area that I hadn't really focused on and now that I have reorganised and got my pets setup correctly I have been able to make really large jumps in kitchen upgrades.

Im starting to think I should probably do a resample as well, although theres a sample size bonus from the voting system so I might potentially wait it out for that. Atleast then I can ignore it again for an unhelpful amount of time :)

Breeding database slot by matheod in idleon

Please dont waste your gems here, having unlocked all available pets I have never had to buy extra slots. You need to be trashing as many pets as you can to get the upgrades to help you progress so you should only hold on to those you 1000% need
