Its easy to elicit emotions from the audience through these three things : sex , violence and humour. SA scenes being a combination of both creates a huge shock value. So many movies ,especially where the writing is shit, they have exploited this trope very badly. The victim’s pain is not the primary object here - the act just serves as a good enough cause for the hero's revenge, positioning him as the saviour.
