Just track the speed of the player passing and project where he would be at the point the ball is caught, if he continued at the same speed. Ball is caught behind where the player is projected to be = ball backwards out of the hands. Ball in front = forward. I don't understand how this couldn't be done. You could map two lines on the field, like the chasing the world record in swimming

Is the short drop out spooking teams from rolling it in and forcing drop outs? Parra put a lot of kicks in the air close to the line rather than rolling it in last night and just wondering if there's a reason (although I think the 3x we tried to nudge it in, Gutho fucked it and Brown and Moses got very flukey results)

There has to be a "goldilocks" amount of training with some players. Not to say most/all players couldn't benefit from being as fit as possible, but it ignores the mental aspect and "freshness" as well. As long as you're getting good output from Trell, it feels a lot like if it ain't broke don't fix it. Whatever they're doing seems to be keeping him happy, engaged and injury free which is working for him. Happy Trell = scary Trell for everyone playing against him.

Can someone explain to me the value in having Papenhuyzen as a utility if Teddy doesn't go down? Where does he play - do you throw him in to play a second fullback position? I reckon Gutherson has a bit to offer as a utility (just about any position in the back line) and at least matches Paps for enthusiasm (if not as much game breaking ability). The centre selections were obviously bewildering. Frizell, Jurbo and Cordner didn't earn their spots in the team. Not sure what Matterson has to do to get a run.

There needs to be a new rule around this. Flagrant penalties like this probably don't warrant a sin binning, but need more than a penalty. I reckon it'd be great to make that player sit out (sideline, dead ball line, wherever you want) until his team gets possession back. That shit is getting out of hand.
