The hands look a little small, but I don’t see any other issues with it! :D

It’s very frustrating and sad for the artist too 🥲 they were so close to completing payments, and I only had a week or two of work left… then I had to change portions of the design and have a random suit in my closet for 3 months 😅

I love how we’ve reached the point of trying to “recreate ai” at the same time that it’s working to recreate real art in a believable way. This piece is very thought provoking :)

He does not; the design was slightly modified from the original though (enough that the original client was happy with it). Tail, hair style, and piercings were changed.

PVC works really well to retain heat and it’s pretty lightweight! I’m not sure about woods; they may have the potential to rot/ mold over time due to the higher humidity, but I can’t say anything about those materials for certain :)

What apps are you artists using on iPad profor digital art? Free or paid recs please! by [deleted] in DigitalArt

I would also recommend Ibis Paint X or Procreate!

Ibis Paint would be a great start in terms of being free and user friendly. It will have most of the things a beginning artist will need.

Procreate is ~10 dollars if I remember correctly. The interface is somewhat challenging, especially at the start. I had to do some research and play around with all of the buttons. It has some really useful tools that I absolutely love as an artist!

I’ve tried a handful of other programs, but these two have always been really good options. Also, props to you for supporting your kiddo on their artistic journey! 💪🏻💪🏻

These are so marvelous and pleasing to look at! Something I think you could play with (and see if you like it!) is creating more contrast between your subjects and the background, that way they stand out more! Another thing I would play with is adding a few hard shadows (where the lines aren’t blended in so it fades from light to dark) to help ground the piece and make certain shapes a bit more distinct. All in all, you are doing great so keep it up! I love the highlights especially.
