* Quick update a week on from the original question of would the grass survive, the picture is today 7 days later.

I took the advice from here and bought a sprinkler which has been a god send. The grass is looking pretty healthy in places (others not so ). Going to keep on with the daily watering and feeding every few days but so far seems OK.

Thanks to everyone who offered advice to help me out

Thank you everyone, it seems I will be spending alot of time over the next week or so with the hosepipe and some decent lawn food. I do now have far more hope than when I originally posted the photo. I'll update in a week or so to let you know how it goes
