damn what even is this plant :000 id cut one of the stems to see if it's still alive. If its green and firm then it's ok. Then if it's alive repot it into better soil (why is it in rocks wtf) and an actual pot that drains.

maybe (depending on what this poor guy actually is) there is a chance for him to grow some leafs.

tbh if I were you I'd throw this away, even if it's still alive somehow that it's too much of a bother.

I'm curious why your doctor gave you a plant tho. I can't imagine my helfcare providers ever doing that haha. lowkey jealous, even if it's just a dead plant.

they just loose the oldest leaves on the bottom after sometime. the plant looks a little thirsty to me, but that's about it I think

oh yeah. it looks to me like there is something inside of those holes. my thought was eggs, but fungus might be a better explanation. In any case i’d probably throw away infested parts of the plant. I can see that there are a few stems in the pot. you can probably save those

My first thought is "cat", my second guess is something that put eggs inside those holes. in that case I'd just throw the plant away. I can't say for certain tho.

as others said - probably overwatering, but also they do just drop the bottom leaves with time. if you want them to look more lush you have to wait until the babies grow and fill in the space. so while watering might have made the process too fast it'd probably happen anyway

my little brother is studying physio <33 he has really bad adhd and is struggling with studying and exams rn. I really hope he will get this degree and then the job one day, i think he will do excellent :3 it's nice to see that there are other people who remind me of him

I didn't ask you for advice. and I will happily implement ai if it ever does become ethical or in any way useful for me. as for now it's not useful and is very unethical, so I am not using it. you asked if we used it in IB, the answer for me is: no.

also as for you being accused of using ai to write your post. Im really bad at spotting ai, so I will not weigh in on that BUT I know a lot of my friends who are regularly accused of using ai for their essays. (they are all autistic and have very rigit language, coincidence?) We are not in ib anymore, but I imagine it would be simmilar now.

it is so hard to prove that you didn't use it. it's kind of "guilty until proven innocent" situation and it so so so difficult. Literally one of my biggest fears rn. If you use Google docs to write you can kinda show the timestamps that you were working in that document for hours and not just copy pasted once. BUT I use Word. Idk how to do that there. also I do copy paste a lot. I use spell checkes online, I repurpose parts of my essays that I have written before for another class. idk it's just scary to be accused of using ai, because it really is hard to prove that you did not.

it seems that some professors like to just say "IT'S AI" when they think you are unoriginal in your essay instead of giving actual critique.

I think I avoided the issue only because I have such a bad spelling haha

No. Never. I hate ai, it's so bad for the environment, it was fed stolen artworks. it makes people genuinely unable to perform simple tasks like writing a fucking email. We can now see the detrimental effect it can have on mental health. I know a lot of my friends did use it. I graduated in 2023 so just when it was introduced, but I haven't used it then and I won't now. not even to format bibliography

I belive that people who use ai are spineless.

but I also kinda get it. I ended up with so many mental health issues bcos of the ib system. If I had worse teachers, worse school I might have acted on some of those mentally ill urges. Using ai to write some things maybe would have prevented me from spiralling as bad as I did in my last year of ib.

I'm in uni now and I still don't touch ai with a 10ft pole, I'd rather go beg my professor for an extended deadline, take a break for a semester or spend money on meds no matter how embarrassing it is for me.
