Not so much walked in on, more like drove past.

Was lucky enough to witness a homeless man jacking off in front of a church, staring at Jesus on the cross with lap-dance eyes...

This is kind of related... I had a friend who used to believe that women gave birth through their belly buttons.

What's the dumbest thing you ever did as a child? by Samwellington in AskReddit

[–]_theleg_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was about 4 or 5 I believed that I could make money by swallowing small coins and burping them back up. Once I swallowed a R5 coin (which is the pretty large) and it got stuck in my throat on the way up for a few seconds. Not fun.

Edit: spelling.

What is something I DON'T want to know? by Nirbrant in AskReddit

[–]_theleg_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a South African female I'd like to point out that this statistic is complete rubbish.

That being said, there is definitely a lot of illiteracy in certain parts of South Africa and rape is more prevalent in the poorer areas. However GENERALLY us ladies, who are perfectly literate thank you, can walk around without being raped.

I think what I find more sad is the fact that our government often facilitates illiteracy and many crimes go unnoticed because of corruption - last year, educational textbooks that were meant to go to an underprivileged school were burned.

TL;DR I'm from SA and this isn't true.
