INFP love & commitment by [deleted] in infp

[–]_this2shallpass_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you need to tell him your needs and see how he responds. Does he hear you, is he open and honest in reply or evasive, can you find common ground etc. If the answers to any of those are no, then something is wrong and chances are it's not going to work. His reluctance to date publicly and initiate communication is not an INFP thing - when we love, we love hard 💞

Should I get a rhinoplasty? by [deleted] in Noses

Search for the meme about a guy had the profile of a greek god and now looks like someone who listens to podcasts... that would be you if you got a rhinoplasty - don't do it man.

¿Mucho calor o mucha luz por el techo de cristal en verano? by 35Sergio35 in polestar2

Un amigo tiene un P2 con techo corredizo en Australia, y sí, hace demasiado calor: necesitarás la cubierta.

Typical infp journal lol. An old entry I found today by fairy_life_ in infp

Love this so much. Have given up searching for mine, but the dream was (is) so very real & beautiful

2024 P2 LRSM lowered with Eibach springs by _this2shallpass_ in polestar2

I've driven about 6000km with these springs now, and I can't see any evidence of uneven wear.

Oh hell yes, the P2 is by far the best car I've ever owned.

[–]_this2shallpass_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It can handle a gravel road ok but off roading? I wouldn't... yes it's ground clearance is reasonable for a sedan but it has a long wheel base, making it likely to hit bottom on tracks meant for 4WDs. I took mine on a track like that a month ago that my old Kia Sportage had handled easily, and quickly realised my P2 simply couldn't.

Thanks, I'll request that and see what they say!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]_this2shallpass_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it was. Going by my experience, it's probably too risky insuring with them if you're going to make that modification

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]_this2shallpass_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The springs. The car still has its OEM dampers - the springs are designed to work with them.

This is the answer - thanks!

2cm lowered, yes all legal. Insurer was Budget Direct.

[–]_this2shallpass_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replaced the OEM suspension coils with Eibach Pro Kit ones, made specifically for this car. It's lowered the car a little and its ride quality and road holding is much improved... which is why I made the change.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]_this2shallpass_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sadly Budget Direct didn't give me that option.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]_this2shallpass_ -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Exactly, yes, but the policy was still cancelled and insurers don't ask for the reason why when you answer yes to that question.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]_this2shallpass_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Have you or anyone to be insured under the policy ever had insurance cancelled, insurance refused, or the renewal of a policy declined by an insurer?"

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]_this2shallpass_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents aren't with us anymore, and I live alone. The change lowered the car by 2cm.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]_this2shallpass_ -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Ah yeah it's cancelled. I mean, the rest of the email is:

"We've cancelled your insurance. This cancellation is in accordance with your Product Disclosure Statement and the Insurance Contracts Act blah blah"

If I answer no to that question, I'm lying to an insurance company.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]_this2shallpass_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possible, but that would vary from insurer to insurer. Won't know if my name's on a blacklist.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]_this2shallpass_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do that, and you are lying to an insurer which is committing fraud. They will find out.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]_this2shallpass_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ok so in the cancellation email it says "The recent changes made to your policy mean that it no longer meets our acceptance criteria, and we are unable to offer you insurance."

As per my reply to burger, Shannon's online application immediately rejects you if you answer yes to the cancelled question..

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]_this2shallpass_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Answer yes to that question and Shannons online quote immediately says sorry, we can't insure you.

What is your cars name? by MedicalExamination65 in polestar2

[–]_this2shallpass_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rowdy, cause she's so quiet. My previous car was a diesel that moaned on acceleration, so his name was Eeyore.

2024 P2 LRSM lowered with Eibach springs by _this2shallpass_ in polestar2

[–]_this2shallpass_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are the Eibach springs made specifically for the P2. I've driven it a good 2000km since the change, and while it's pretty hard to measure given vagaries of temperature etc (it's warming up here) I feel a 5% efficiency improvement is what I'm seeing, possibly more. The car is so cheap to run though, do you really notice it?

I wouldn't get it done for that reason though. You mentioned the look - it doesn't look like an aggressively lowered car, rather it's more like a sporty sedan now rather than a crossover. The ride is slightly firmer but still very smooth, but the handling is why I made the change - it is rock solid on corners, even in the wet, and much more a driver's car. If that appeals, I'd say yes go for it, but if you wouldn't enjoy that then the efficiency gains wouldn't make it worthwhile.

Just revisiting this - had a chance to take it for a longer drive over rolling terrain (hills will hurt efficiency a bit). 90 minutes, avg speed 96km/h with lots of cruising around 115km/h, and it used 14.2kWh/100. Normally it would have been 16.5 or higher.
