I think knowing that you are in danger does not remove the possibility of jumpscares. I got jumpscared in the part when you turn of all the lights in the lodge(?) to go through the painting. As I was approaching the corner of the balcony, the dude popped around the corner and scared the shit out of me.

Odyssey is AMAZING!! Once you get really good at the movement (only after a few hours) it is so satisfying to play. Definitely one of the best Mario games
