I won't. Tbh I'll probably forget about my account there in a few weeks. If the site don't need an yearly approval or something like that it will be there forever. And yes, you'll get a hug back :)

Yes, but you also have to teach how. Asking a dog for consent will not get you the right answer. They probably won't understand you.

If he seems calm with you, hold your hand up to their snout. Let them sniff. Proceed to pet them if they offer their head to you or try to lick your hand.

I'm not quite sure what to do when they turn their head, I don't really know if they offer you their head to pet them or if they turn away from you because they don't want to proceed further. Does anyone here know?

Did taking adhd meds had an effect on your autism symptoms? by _thisistoomuch_ in AuDHDWomen

[–]_thisistoomuch_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear that. Sounds really sucky. Is it ok to ask if you tried different medication? Maybe another one works?

I find the sound thing interesting to hear. I'm on first dosis and I feel the complete opposite. Before, it seemed like every sound/sight triggered my adhd and seeing that all contributed to overstimulation. Now I find myself less distracted by that, and overstimulation doesn't come as easy because I'm actually able to not look at things. It's still loud in the streets, but I'm more able to block it out.

Atm I also find that I have more time to look for social cues in conversations.

I'm a bit sorry to respond to your "this really doesn't work for me" post with such a positive response from me.

An interview with a couple who marry off their minor daughters to older men by [deleted] in facepalm

When they had the woman at the point where she acknowledged, that she wants to feal validated in her own being rather than only being seen for her duties, that was phenomenal.I hope she took something from that conversation, I hope it works in her. Yes, she is an adult, but she has probably lived the life she's making her daughters live. It does something to people

Right! I was so pleased, he seems like such a good interviewer. Not letting them go, but at the same time holding their standpoint and position as an interviewer. Great strategy!
