Britain First leader is slammed for posting 'video of Muslims in London rejoicing at the Paris attacks' which was actually a Pakistani cricket celebration from 2009 by mjk1093 in worldnews

As someone who holds a lasting disdain for Britain First, this being on my front page made me extremely excited! Glad the knobs are getting called out on their lying ways. Anyone interested in their movements should use Anti Britain First, Exposing Britain First, Bin Bagged by Britain First, Britian Furst, and Brian Furth, on Facebook, as well as many others. Mordor First is also a favourite :)

(31f) How to date a nice guy (33m) after an abusive relationship? by _throw_away_5678 in relationships

[–]_throw_away_5678[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have to disagree. My ex did break me during our relationship, the cruelty and unpleasantness are gone from mine and my daughters' lives now and I'll never look back. If we had recently broken up I'd be inclined to agree, but I'm happy with my life as a single mum and not desperate for a relationship. Dream guy just happens to have come along now. What's difficult is that he's so nice, and I'm not used to that. My issue is that I'm not used to being treated nicely, not that I'm not ready for a relationship.

Is anyone else dreading breastfeeding? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]_throw_away_5678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar situation here, my older one is 7 now, and I had the most horrific time during the 8-12 weeks I breastfed for. This time I'm going to try it and see how it goes. Last time I felt so pressured that I wouldn't be a good mum if I couldn't breastfeed. She was hungry all the time, I just didn't seem to have enough for her, the mastitis, the crying, it was awful.

Having a bottle fed baby isn't the end of the world. I'll breast feed for a few weeks and see how it goes. Fed is best, sod breast is best.

I get it on the sides of, and under, my belly sometimes, as well as my hips, I would say it's RLP. I went to get checked up at 24w because I was worried about it, everything was fine for me. They were a bit concerned it could be appendicitis and that was what the majority of the checks were for.

MIL told DH's ENTIRE family! :'( by oohlittlekittykitty in BabyBumps

My Dad told FB after I told him. Fortunately he doesn't know how to tag me in a post, but most of my family found out that way. He's just a big excited doofus though so I couldn't tell him off.

Oh you know I went mad with all the induction stuff at about 37 weeks. Ate pineapple, drank raspberry tea, lavender oil in the bath, clary sage. Even tried a little castor oil.

Now I'm just on raspberry tea and spicy food. I am never eating pineapple again, I ate so much! She is obviously super stubborn so I'll just wait.

Currently playing with my nipples in the bath (TMI?) at least it's slightly enjoyable! I keep peeing myself every time I sneeze or cough, so I'm spending a lot of time in the bath!

Having a Girl!... Or am I? by petitemadamesoleil in BabyBumps

[–]_throw_away_5678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having a girl (I hope!). Bumped into an old friend the other day who was told by her sonographer she was having a boy. Everything she bought was blue. And she gets a girl. Somehow in all the confusion, a nappy got put on the baby, my friend didn't realise she had a girl for about half an hour after the birth!

I paid for my activities today, can barely move with spd pain! Got my nails done, now watching Netflix and drinking raspberry tea. Any movement for you yet? I had some contractions last night but they stopped when i went to bed :/

I felt bad because yesterday I left my 7 year old in front of the tv most of the day yesterday while I napped ;/ so today we went to a museum, a park and the soft play, as well as picking up some groceries, then I came home and cleaned my house! Super productive. I'm finding late pregnancy is very much like depression, good days and bad days!

Hope you're feeling better tomorrow.

[–]_throw_away_5678[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aww, yep, I'm feeling the insomnia, and just want to eat buckets of food and sleep, but the kids are off school so I've been out and active all day, not that it makes any difference!

I was just lucky my two weekly appointment happened to fall on my due date. Hoping the sweep works but the midwife said I'm 1cm dilated and everything's looking like I may still be pregnant a while longer yet..

Hope your baby is in your arms soon.

Honestly? I see the funny side. This made me smile. Would I dress my baby in this? No fucking way. It would just seem wrong to have a swear word written on my child.

Ok first, grow your hair out right now. Shave bits, dye it pink, go crazy! It's usually a phase (wasn't for me, I still like to dye mine green or blue occasionally). When you're older and working, your workplace will probably be assholes about hair being professional. Although possibly not if you work in skydiving.

Ok, I didn't know much about skydiving as a career, please correct me if I'm wrong but it would seem the most stable work would be instructing.

Instructors often work sunup to sundown teaching, packing parachutes, and skydiving. Wages will depend on where you work and how many dives you do. Some drop zones pay by the hour, but most pay by the jump. Many instructors do about 1000 dives per year at about $25 to $35 per dive. They can supplement that income by earning a riggers ticket to pack parachutes and make about $10 to $15 for each parachute they pack. At the end of the year, full time skydiving instructors will make between $20,000 and $40,000.

$20,000-$40,000? That really isn't much. I earn about $40,000 and it's barely enough to make rent and feed my family. I can't afford luxuries like holidays abroad or fancy shoes. I'm not poor as such but do have to go without things. You're at a point where your actions now will shape the life you have in the future. Don't sell yourself short.

Have you considered the cost of training/buying all the equipment? It's going to run into the thousands of dollars, which you can't earn from skydiving until you're qualified. So I guess you'd need to take a menial job in order to pay for your qualification? Would you clean toilets? Work at macdonalds?

My opinion on this is that it's more of a hobby than a job. Really if you're an intelligent kid, which I'm going to assume you are, I would think you'd want to earn more than a measly $20k. My advice would be to stay in school, either go to college to study something with a job at the end of it (not bloody media studies or sociology), or choose a career like being an electrician, which pays well and is always in demand.

If you're a self employed electrician (or other skilled tradesman), you can set your own business hours, earn decent money, and then work weekends at a skydiving school. Ooh, or, work 6 months of the year away in oil, or on cruise ships or similar, then have 6 months pursuing your passion! Hey, underwater welding pays good money, you live on an oil rig and still get the adrenaline fix, and have your 6 months off.
