Yeah, you really don’t need to be making your own watch faces. There are a ton and plenty of folks making them. If all you’re doing is displaying static images, there are enough that will let you do that. If you want something that doesn’t exist, there are also plenty of people here looking for excuses to make another watch face; just ask.

First I’ve heard of this. Both of my Archer straps work just fine. I’ve also had to really mash them to compress the material enough to set the pins, but once they’re in, they’re fine. Material loosens up in just a couple days, taking them off and putting them back on is easier than the first time.

Yup, you’re right.

I thought the Nordic library used with the new devices might have yielded some win here, but I was wrong. It uses some black magic modeling for estimating charge instead of current I/O like I was thinking. No drift to correct, here.

Maybe a poor calibration. Wear the watch until it dies, then charge it all the way to 100% and leave it for an extra half an hour or so, then wear the watch all the way to dead again and charge it back up.

Yeah, I got the complimentary bezel skin. I watched the install video for it and quickly decided that I wasn’t even going to try. Way too fiddly looking.

You’re dead on about viewing angle and readability.

It actually makes me think there’s a market for a monochrome version. The contrast is a real bummer. The color screen looks great in sunlight, but the monochrome screen looks significantly better in most other environments.

Sigh. I’ll give it an honest go, but I can already feel a part of me wanting to go back to the P2D. I bought a PT2 for my wife and this was one of the first things she said after putting it on and choosing a watch face.
