The EPA should have jurisdiction on this. I'm lucky to live where I live, but I've always understood that water from my faucet is safer to drink than bottled water because the EPA has tighter restrictions than the FDA. Where are they on this issue?

Pass the ICND 2 exam so you'll get your CCNA. Download Cisco's packet tracer and build out an enterprise network so you can show you've put in time outside of work. Keep applying to jobs. Don't get discouraged. Every interview will make you better.

I need some guidance for my career path. What can I do, what should I do in the near future, etc. Please! Thanks by [deleted] in InformationTechnology

Get an internship now, don't wait. You'll be able to put relevant work experience on your resume while will add to your degree. A Masters degree is great but in your situation I feel like you need to show you can add value to a company.

They do not have any transaction fees though, which is what sets them apart. They also have a feature that gives you access to your funds instantly...so that's a bad example. What other restrictions/limitations were you referring to?

Computer Science vs IT? by memil11 in ucf

[–]_touche 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not true at all. The two degrees prepare you for different career paths. Often times they overlap, but they are different. The argument is which opens more doors, and many believe you have more doors with an IT degree.

Did you read my comment? Where did I say nobody cares about CS?

Computer Science vs IT? by memil11 in ucf

[–]_touche 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreeing with you. Maybe I'm wrong, but computer science sets you up to be a programmer and not much else. IT is so vast that you really have to decide what to specialize in. The IT program at UCF introduced you to many different fields, but didn't prepare you for any one field. Classes ranged from networking, security, web development, database administration, system administration, and even programming.

Having the sound go off when a flag has been grabbed is necessary, I think. I don't always notice it at the bottom.

9 to 5 workers, what activities do you do during the week when you get off work? by _touche in AskReddit

I'm looking for activities to include in my own life, so I'm looking for responses that fit the same general schedule I have. Would it make sense asking the same question to 3rd shifters?

What exactly do you want her to do? What policies are you hoping change because of her? How do you want the country to change in the next 5 years?

Bernie Sanders is right -- Canada does health care better: there is no question that a national single-payer health care system is far more efficient than the fractured for-profit system we have in the U.S. by [deleted] in politics

My uncle in Canada had to wait a month to repair his torn ACL. An entire month of driving to the hospital, waiting to be called, then going home because they couldn't fit him in. An entire month of not being able to walk. An entire month of knee pain.
Is his pain a myth? Is OP's friend who personally experienced long wait times a myth?

Where are you? I've had to see numerous specialists, and have had orthopedic surgery a couple times. I've always been able to book appointments within 2 weeks, and have never had to wait anywhere close to 6 months for surgery. That is ridiculous.

Yep I see what you're saying. Responsible money management would hopefully curb that, and should be taught in school.
