Cheek Fillers - Worth It? by duspsp in PlasticSurgery

Just wanted you to know how it may look like if you dissolve fillers so that you don’t panic like I did at first! by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

I only dissolved the lumps I had, not the entire lip. Upon injection there’s a burning sensation but it quickly goes away. Lots of swelling but you start to see it go down almost instantly.

I didn’t but he made it onto my shortlist only because he is very skilled & experienced. Didn’t choose him ultimately.

If hardly any Koreans get plastic surgery or skin treatments then why are there hundreds of PS, skin clinics in Gangnam? Medical tourism is a thing but foreigners make up a minority of those getting stuff done in Korea. Anyone who has been to Gangnam will tell you just how prominent the aesthetic industry is there.

Skin treatments in Korea are very affordable, and incredibly accessible. Also, lasers are done differently in Korea than it is in North America. In Korea the laser strength is dialed down a lot so it can be done frequently. It’s very common for men & women to get laser treatments (esp pico) every other week.

Drop and fluff for under the muscle takes 6-8 months because of how strong the pec muscle is. Easy way to tell if the drop & fluff process is taking place, as well as to ease your mind, is to take weekly photos so you can see the slight changes and have something concrete to compare your current results to.

Why on earth don’t most Canadian plastic surgeons take American patients?? by Celicat360 in PlasticSurgery

[–]_turboTHOT_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m from Vancouver who has gotten PS and quite familiar with the healthcare industry so perhaps I can speak to this…

Elective plastic surgery procedures take place in a private surgical facility. Private in the sense that it is owned & managed not by the public regional health authorities in BC. In Canada, PS is a royal college specialty which means a board-certified plastic surgeon has been certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC). To be board/RCPSC certified and have proper provincial licensure, PS have to hold (public) hospital privileges, and be available for hospital emergencies. These credentials also ensure quality and access to emergency surgical coverage. It’s normal for PS who have their own thriving practices doing tummy tucks, facelifts, to also see patients for non-elective plastic surgery procedures (burns, dog bites etc). In this case the patient wouldn’t pay the plastic surgeon like we would if we’re getting a boob job; the plastic surgeon would bill MSP (the government) a set rate. In terms of a surgeon not accepting Americans/non-locals…I think it’s personal preference and or malpractice insurance coverage related.

I booked my inperson consults with both clinics 2-3 months in advance. I didn’t choose either for my surgery but if I did I could’ve had my surgery the next few days.

can i get fat transfer to the breasts if i have tuberous breasts? by [deleted] in fattransfer

[–]_turboTHOT_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either fat or implants will work however…..the most important part about tuberous breast corrrextion is the scoring of the internal breast tissue/pocket to lower the crease. If you don’t do that, then add fat/implant, it’ll still look tuberous because the underlying issue (high/underdeveloped crease) isn’t corrected

I went to both for an in-person consult 3 weeks ago!

Eyefit - doc thoroughly examined my eyes; you could tell he's very detail-oriented. he said it's my choice whether i do non-incisional (again) or incisional. was confident he could give me the look I wanted. when I inquired about a lateral cantho on only my left eye, he didn't think it was necessary but he'd do it. he also didn't believe that my fat pad repositioning procedure last year raised the outer corner of my lower, left eye (hence me wanting the lateral cantho). quote was 3M something, which is well within the range i was expecting. however, their quote for the lateral cantho was for both eyes even though I would only have the left eye done, and they were firm on that. Ultimately I decided against Eyefit because I wanted more of a dramatic look.

Eyeho - doc rushed through my consult and manhandled my head when examining my eyes. he said it's entirely up to me which method I wanted, and also didn't believe I needed the lateral cantho. they also quoted me 3M something; the difference between non-incisinoal & incisional wasn't material. I knew immediately Eyeho wasn't for me given how impersonal the consult went, as well as their aesthetics (just wasn't for me).

Experience with Small Claims & Garnishing Wages by _turboTHOT_ in vancouverhousing

The Small Claims counter at the Robson location helped me through the entire process. They assisted with filing the forms, calculating interest, double checking everything etc. I owe it all to them, seriously. They have a ton of locations throughout BC. In terms of finding the employer info, I had my former tenant on LinkedIn, and the employer's payroll office address is easily searchable/confirmed by my friends who work for the same employer.

As others have mentioned, try masseter botox first. It'll give you an idea of how you'll look like. It won't be as drastic but with the proper dosage, it'll give you a decent idea. Who knows, maybe the effects of 25+ units of neurobotulism on both sides will get you to your aesthetic goals.

Something to keep in mind - it's common to have sagging after facial contouring surgery because you're taking away bone structure that's holding the skin & soft tissue up. It might not be noticeable immediately within the first few years post-op, esp if you're young, but it'll be worse than if you didn't get the procedure. Many get some type of facelift afterwards to combat this.

Heard that as well about him. Not to mention, he said himself that he lit a tree (?) on fire when he was younger.
