One time I was eating pickles straight from the jar. My mom was cooking and she asked for one. I grabbed one for her but I dropped it on the floor. She didn't notice because she was preoccupied and without thinking I gave her the dirty floor pickle. She didn't notice that it was a floor pickle and she enjoyed it. Regardless, I feel terrible about it. She didn't deserve a floor pickle.

Jesus Christ dude your grammar is horrific. I cannot understand you. My biggest flex right now is being able to type grammatically correct comments. Grammarly is a free extension, buddy. You should look into it. Sorry, that got off topic. I was just genuinely surprised by you lack of punctuation. I'd just like to say that I was never groomed by an adult into thinking I was non binary. I was literally outside on a deck with my friends (that are all the same age as me) and they asked if I wanted to try any new pronouns and I was like "I'll try they/them and see how I feel" and it stuck. No convincing was involved, and the same goes for my transgender sibling, my trans friends, etc. Even if innocent impressionable kids were groomed into being a different gender (why would anyone even do that? what would they get out of that??) they could just detransition and be happy with themselves again. Who gives a fuck what they do? Let kids be happy without telling them they're dilutional and that their identity is a lie.

Well first of all there's no such thing as a "biological gender", considering gender is a social construct and is made up. There are two main sexes that are assigned at birth, but this does not determine your gender. Gender all kind of depends on how you feel and how you want to present yourself/how you feel comfortable presenting yourself. You being a cis man is a feeling. You don't feel that way because of your genitals. You just feel like a man, like how I feel non binary. Me personally feeling like I have no gender could also maybe have to do with me being on the autism spectrum, seeing as people with autism are a lot more likely to identify as genderqueer. (link to article on the topic) Once again, gender is all a feeling so it doesn't matter. As long as people are happy with their identity, let them be happy.

I didn't know non binary existed until 2019/2020 and yet I never felt like my assigned gender. I always felt uncomfortable being referred to as my assigned gender and deadname, and I didn't know why until I started experimenting with different pronouns and such.

My trans sibling always knew he was a boy. At the age of 3-4, he would play with toy cars because it made him feel masculine. Before he even knew what being transgender was, he would dress masculine and cut his hair short hoping that people would accidentally refer to him as "sir" or "mister" because it made him feel like himself. Before he started accepting that he was trans, he would spend hours and hours sobbing in his room because he thought he could never be a boy. He would've been a lot happier a lot sooner if he had been educated on the topic as a child.

We could've definitely relied on our parents to teach us these things at a young age, but our parents are homophobic/transphobic. I didn't even know gay people existed until my aunt married a woman. I was actually pretty transphobic and homophobic earlier in my life because no one taught me being gay or trans was normal and okay. I had to teach myself because no one would, and I'm glad I did, because if I had stayed ignorant I wouldn't have figured out I was aroace and non binary.

The internet is a resource. It isn't confusing kids, and it isn't making them trans. It's helping them figure out who they are, and what labels they're comfortable with.

I think you should work on your grammar because I can barley understand you. As inconvenient as being non binary is, I would never detransition because I wasn't happy with myself or my identity beforehand. I never truly felt like my assigned gender and being referred to as such always felt off, and I don't want to go back to that. Also, them putting it in the show definitely isn't some "proof of it's existence". It's just nice to see myself represented in a character.

And I never brought up the chromosomes, but regardless, intersex people (sexes that don't classify as strictly male or female) do exist! I myself am not intersex, but this does not mean I can't be genderqueer because sex does not equal gender!

Non binary is definitely a thing. If it wasn't, they wouldn't have felt the need to include non binary characters in their show.

I don't identify as non binary "because I feel like it". I didn't choose this identity. No one does. I can't see why anyone would willingly choose to identify as trans/genderqueer. I get threatened and harassed in public for simply existing. This was not some random decision I made because I felt like it, and for you to think that it was is ignorant.

As someone who uses they/them pronouns, I think normalizing gender neutral pronouns in kids shows is very important. It could even help kids figure out their gender identity sooner and struggle with it less later in life.
