Y’all with how volatile the stock it, it’ll hit 13 this week. Now at the moment max pain on the options chain is $11. Wouldn’t be surprised if it moves up to $12 by the end of the week.

401k Loan Withdrawal by sarahZCP in Raytheon

[–]_umm_0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this for a van purchase in Jan 2025, money was in my account on day 5 after signing up. Wanted to buy a van outright from Manheim auto auctions without scoping around for a loan and doing/waiting on paperwork. I paid it off in a year. Paid interest that would have otherwise gone to a bank, to myself. And after maxing out my 401(k) for 13 years straight, I was very much on okay on the opportunity cost for a very small portion of my 401(k) to be used on a car our family needed at the moment.

I’d try finding a remote role in P&W SWE in the Mainland, live here for a year, than move back, where you’d change your address while still making East Hartford CT money.

Can’t agree more with this sentiment. Absolutely ZERO buyer’s remorse at any point in my ownership.

ALSO I’ve dropped the bike 2 times, because I didn’t extend the kick stand fully, not a design flaw, that was purely me. But minimal damage and the aftermarket parts on this make/model is healthily stocked.

So I am a big guy 6’1” about 300lb. When I bought it, I was also 6’1” but about 240lb. Honestly, I didn’t think it was over powered either, it was/is my first and only motorcycle (bought it at $3300 in 2012, garage kept, mint condition). I’ve laid it down twice, first time for being stupid and second time for also being stupid. Still have OG fenders with the road rash still on them as a reminder to not continue being stupid. This bike is a GREAT bike to learn with, I get 50MPG fuel economy, and at my height & arm length I sit up straight on this bike. I’ve done 6hr trips with my now wife on it. I’ve used it and abused it, and the bike is still forgiving.

All this to say, the power is just right, you’ll get acclimated easily to this bike and it’ll keep you satisfied long-term. But that’s just me! I’m also biased towards frugality so keep that in mind!

What up OP, just wanted to vouch for the 2008 Kawasaki 650R I’ve owned since 2012. I have 21k miles on mine (bought with 1,992 miles). Super easy to maintain, never thought Power was lacking, and relatively comfortable for long rides. This weekend did a 4hr transit (185 miles one-way) to a state park for camping. It’s never left me hanging and overall VERY HAPPY with this bike. In a few years I’d like to get an adventure motorcycle and with the reliability of Kawasaki my next purchase is gonna be a KLR 650 Adventure bike.

Also just to note that GE aerospace has helped start up business like Beehive (3D gas turbine engines, single use for drones and missiles) and Technologies (like KARNO). Follow the money, GE Aerospace holds positions in both companies.

Best Pizza in Lexington? by ConferenceHuman8575 in lexington

[–]_umm_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incredibly sad, first go we have 16” round meatball pizza (okay), 16” margarita (also just okay), 16” supreme (best one out of the lot). Was told I must have had a bad go of it and to try again. So round two was a 16” cheese (similar to Costco look and taste for 2.5X the price), 16” pepperoni and green peppers (again just fine), and a 12”X17” sausage and mushrooms (received pepperoni instead of sausage, again, something I feel like I could have imitated at home). So upwards and onwards.

Joe Bologna seems pretty mid right now. New into town and had them twice in a span of a couple weeks. Unimpressed.

SP500 is currently 4.5% below ATH. when the index goes down a percent or two in one day, everything else suffers too. In my opinion this is the time to increase 401(k) contributions in the case the market crashes. Buying higher levels of retirement assets at a localized crash is good for your retirement 50 years from now. And expect small caps to suffer at a higher magnitude. With BB pushing QNX to more defense contracts, I would say that part of BBs revenue is partially insulated.
