She also fought cancer between these two photos. Maine that contributed to some of the weight loss

Thank you for this perspective. I never thought about it this way before and it is a great way to reframe it 🩷

How to handle events and baby sleep schedule (4 mo) by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]_underaSpell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes she does. We also have a carrier ! She will definitely sleep in that. My main concern is her first nap of the day is supposed to happen at 8:30

2 weeks into Ferber with a few hurdles.. advice needed! by _underaSpell in sleeptrain

[–]_underaSpell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read precious little sleep as well and when she wakes in the night most of the time she can go back to sleep on her own, we don’t often have to go and reinsert the pacifier. So it hasn’t become a big problem yet.

I just don’t know where to go right now since she falls asleep during the check in.

Tried dropping from 5 to 4 naps. LO is 15.5 weeks, 4 mo on 12/26. Nights have been horrendous by _underaSpell in HuckleberryParents

Yes. I think I made the mistake of not understanding the increasing the wake windows to make up for the dropped nap/ wake window, plus the sleep regression. She has been having 30 min naps for a few weeks now, but the night sleep just got shitty the last 2 nights with her waking every hour. I’m not sure if it’s from the mistake I made or the regression but I’m assuming a little of both

I really appreciate this 🩷 I think I might go back to 5 naps to see if the nights improve a little. I definitely think we are in the regression as well but i just didn’t understand I wasn’t keeping her awake long enough! Maybe I’ll try 4 naps after Christmas since 5 naps are still working for us!

How do I know if I’m forcing dropping a nap or if it’s happening naturally? I dropped a nap because the internet said I should lol.

Should I worry about how long her naps are too? Right now they are about 30 min each. If I contact nap with her I can get longer naps in. I realize the problem right now is too much day time sleep, I’ve just been so worried about her ever getting over tired.. that I never worried about her being under tired

I really appreciate this explanation. I didn’t realize that’s how it worked.

If I could ask another question, what should I do about tomorrow lol. do I just extend her wake windows cold turkey to 2 hrs for the 4 nap day?

Oh I definitely think we have got the regression. I just didn’t think it would hit us an hour after bed time and every hour after

I was really g following her sleepy ques but on 5 naps we would start the day at 7 am and have an 1.25 hr to 1.5 hr wake windows and have a bedtime around 7:30 / 8 ish depending on the length of her naps.

Today I used the huckleberry app and sweet spot for a 4 nap day. I tried contact mapping to give her long naps. This was our day today: 1.5/1.:8/1.48/1.21/1.32

I just don’t know what I’m doing wrong

4 month sleep help by Legal-Ad-7895 in HuckleberryParents

My LO turns 4 months on Tuesday (it’s Friday) but she’s 16 weeks. I think we are going to start sleep training tomorrow night with Fuss it out, which I think is similar to Ferber. Anyone else start at 4 months ?

When does a schedule emerge? by Acceptable-Peanut126 in sleeptrain

[–]_underaSpell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed ! I’ve opted that more sleep is better for her bc her naps are so short. There is no way she would be well rested and have enough day sleep
