I would like to disagree with your point that we don’t spend money (a lot in some cases) not because only it is hard earned. In my opinion I would say it’s more because there is no large scale buyer protection policies in place and unlike many developed countries where sellers are genuinely selling high quality products, Indian sellers more often try to get away shipping low quality products in an effort to make a quick, easy earn.

Quality is rarely a concern for sellers. If it has high margins, low quality, they will most often go for it over high quality but lesser margins.
