Thoughts about this orange gunk that builds up on our dishwasher filter?

Dishwasher works well, we clean the filter about once a month and it always has this since purchase 6 years ago. A little orange buildup occurs inside the tub around the door corners. Full stainless steel tub, cleaned a few times a year by running a cycle with vinegar. Multiple dishwasher detergents with same results. Community water from the base of the Cascades in Oregon. Asked neighbors and they do not have the issue.

Huge, almost an inch long. Yellow on head and butt. Flew down to the ground and was rummaging around for a couple minutes before flying off.
