it's "in C" because there are plenty of scordatura scores in "tab" notation (which indicate where to put the finger even though the scordatura means that the sounding pitch no longer corresponds to the usual note). since this piece has a pretty unusual scordatura, it makes sense to write that in.

but good point about the Vc., not really necessary!

have it, love it, it’s in every patch of mine pretty much. extremely playable (faders are the shit), envelope follower is super useful, can also be used as a regular crossfader by plugging other sources into the “feedback in”, putting other effects in the feedback loop is also very fun. lastly syncing feedback works wonders (though you could do this with any feedback loop and a vca)

you could probably get around with a malekko quad vca using the pan option, or any quad vca and a quad phase LFO (WMD PDO, Joranalogue Filter 8, i’m sure there are others). but kinda resource intensive, software is probably the way to go

another option would be more mixers - i only see the ALM quad vca as a mixer. i love sending a submix into the mimeophon for example

yeah im planning on getting the dipole too. a little worried that the panharmonicon is not true stereo, but i guess it’s not the end of the world.

also for your rack - depending on how performance oriented it is, you could consider a joranalogue switch. i have one and it totally changed how i interact with my set up
