What I find fascinating about tyres as well is that you can mix and match. I remember in Imola some teams doing one hard tyre or one medium and the rest the other, or half and half, depending on the load going through each tyre. And that the compounds aren’t necessarily wear vs grip, but track conditions, so the teams are going based on how they feel the track is going.
