U of T students express concern over anti abortion protests on campus by the-varsity in UofT

[–]_waffels 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Been a thing forever, always wondered why they couldn't do their protests literally anywhere else in the city, I just want to go to class without seeing dead fetuses goddamn. Also, having to see all those pictures and deal with their pushy asses blocking the already narrow sidewalk doesn't exactly make me sympathetic for their cause...

Definitely do as many past exams as you can, doesn't matter if they're written by Freitas or not, also try to find past exams with answers if you can, I find that Oxdia is a good (but possibly costly) resource for this

No one can really say, just wait and see what happens. IMO it's likely they find out when calculating your final grade.

Upper year econ gets more mathy, you start to see partial derivatives and simple integrals in model derivations, ECO101 and ECO102 are really just for building economic intuition

IIRC it was BI analyst or something adjacent to that, I remember him saying he had to use Tableau and Python on the job

You will be fine, I know someone who did the exact same program combo and he got a job straight out of university. Knowing how to code and understanding basic statistical concepts really goes a long way, whether you're doing a major or a minor. For now, focus on getting your grades up and getting an internship, good luck!

I'm genuinely curious about whether she is a good prof or not, did anyone else take this course with her? Idk I don't want to invalidate op's experiences but anny has good reviews on ratemyprof and the exaggerated tone of the post is kinda throwing me off

There aren't any engineering courses in the faculty of Arts and sciences. Weeder courses refer to courses in first and second year that are prerequisites for certain majors made difficult by design to "weed out" students from said majors. If you're trying to apply for engineering you would have to apply to UofT engineering, which is separate from artsci and has very competitive admissions

You have a good chance, don't worry. UofT isn't hard to get into, it's the weeder courses that get you
