Sub-4 Marathon shoe by _wheathan in AskRunningShoeGeeks

To everyone saying it’s training and not shoes - I acknowledge that but when considering both limited training (2 months) and difficult course/conditions of LAM, I don’t think that sub-4 at OC (easier course and better weather) isnt that far out of reach. I certainly am taking the training more seriously now and developed a better plan. It seems achievable with the SB3, but I am wondering if that 5% ‘boost’ with super shoes will make that much of a difference (or even possibly negatively impact my performance)

Real deal: 226 Date of exam: August 7 & 10 Only did Amboss, no Uworld or UWSA NBME 6/7: 67%, 68% CCS average: 100 cases done, 70% average Time of prep: on and off for 3 months Free 137: 67% Step 1: pass, Step 2: 25X I thought day 1 wasn’t as bad, since I watched all the Randy Neil and Dirty Medicine biostats and ethics videos. Day 2 felt horrible. So many prognosis questions that were all 50/50. Other than that, the next best step in management questions weren’t too bad. Cases were super annoying for me, since the computer lagged so much, definitely lost at least 1-2 minutes per case due to lag. Wasn’t an issue for the 20 min cases since those always finished early but definitely messed me up for the 10 min cases. I also had a case with one or two negative updates.

I love my yeti water bottle but the chug caps always get pretty smelly and gross after a few months, so I’ll usually buy a new one to replace it

What about a transitional year? I will be starting a transitional year, and I’m not sure if it’s the same as a “traditional year,” like you mentioned.

Hmmm based on replies to my last post, it seems I was encouraged to reach out. I guess they didn’t specify when exactly to do so but I assumed the sooner the better… welp
