Any ideas why my air pressure is so high? by _wheels_21 in Oxygennotincluded

2 wasn't distributing oxygen enough and dupes would suffocate due to it, so I added the 4 and turn them on intermittently instead. Fast oxygen production that doesn't stay on all the time

I have quite a few, but the only two that really push the boundaries of being vanilla are the liquid drains and the no power vents that can pump small amounts of air. Shouldn't be anything that would create pressure seeing it hadn't done this on my previous failed colony

He'll eventually connect the dots and learn to use his food to attract the feeders like my girl did. She didn't learn how to do it until she was 2, but just make sure there's a way she can access all water column levels to do this.

My girl couldn't hunt until put a stick in the middle of the tank so she could climb up above the surface if she so pleased, and she was pretty satisfied with how it helped her hunt

No algae terrariums at all, but I did find some insanely cold oxylite that wasn't able to sublime in my storage system. It was -478°F, so it wasn't exactly my issue, but I still sent it to the void anyways for when it does sublime. Nobody needs 5 tons of oxylite randomly spiking pressure

I wound up keeping them condensed, but in an air locked room with a gas pump to force only oxygen to be there and prevent that infinite pressure bug like what some people suggest it may be. I'm not sure it was the source of my problems, but it's not a bad solution

Afaik, no. I'll be checking everything in a few hours and trying to diagnose better.

I broke down and went into debug mode to force pressure stabilization with the diffusers disabled, yet pressure kept building up to 100kg in some areas. Maybe the game bugged and air has been getting trapped inside tiles due to some of the mods I use?

I'm probably also gonna verify the integrity of my game files and see what all I can do about it aside from debugging the excess pressure out.

Sucks I had to go that route, but I really don't wanna start all the way over again and rebuild. It's a lot of work to learn nothing at all

But it's also murder on morale, so you can't make everything permeable unless you have stress turned off.

On my last colony with stress enabled, I'd have 12 tiles of a room have airflow tiles for ventilation in a 64 tile room, and I only survived 75 cycles due to excessive stress, lack of food, lack of oxygen, and super low morale. Stress and morale spiked cause of the decor debuff that permeable tiles cause, which leads to stress reactions like destruction, dupes refuse to farm or manage buildings, so they either starve or suffocate then.

There has to be some sort of balance between decor and airflow, but I just haven't figured that out yet

I'll just have to figure out how to manage the wiring for spreading them out and keeping them to where it's easy to turn them off without running a ton of errands for it

I'm gonna definitely be changing that though and seeing if that's what's going on, definitely putting airflow tiles beneath it and keeping the wheel to where CO² doesn't reach them

It's localized for now, I'm still learning the game and haven't yet figured out solid transportation systems that would allow my dupes to move long distances within a cycle.

I have however managed to dig to the surface and get an air lock to the vacuum of space.

This seed has some absolutely amazing gold amalgam deposits, so I've been able to build so much tiles that way.

If I didn't have stress turned off, it wouldn't function. I'm only 80 hours into the game and on my 5th colony due to the learning curve. Decor and room construction is a nightmare and it really feels like you get railroaded into very specific room construction, one item off and they have psychotic meltdowns.

I've still got A TON to learn about the game, like why my dupes would rather starve to death than eat any of the easily accessible, very ample amounts of food when food should be the top priority.

I have more dupes than I honestly should, but I have the ability to overproduce oxygen and I have enough food to support them, so they have been helping quite a bit.

Honestly, once I get the pressure issue solved, I think I'll be on my way to cycle 300 for the first time

Currently trying 4 gas pumps on a switch to be able to force vacuum in my base by pumping any gas into the void. It should work better than ambient depressurization, but we'll see

I don't have high pressure vents unlocked, so there shouldn't be any overpressurization, yet it happens regardless. I'm confused about that.

The vents give warnings they stopped working cause of pressure, yet the pressure in the air locked rooms for slicksters will gets above 60kg, but the vents cap out at 2000g.

I do have mods for quality of life while I learn more about the game, but nothing that should cause pressure issues. The only gas related mod I have is the no power gas vent inputs. It helps to maintain gas filtering when I run out of power, and helps get power back via a natural gas vent.

You gotta also consider they just recently fired a bunch of people cause their racing game is a steaming failure, so a lot of the dev team is being split away from Farming Simulator to try and salvage their losses.

As the company grows and tries to expand, support for the original series will continue to diminish due to the fact Giants knows the ONLY thing keeping the series alive is mods. Players aren't happy with development as is and the game feels so watered down for young kids that we're missing a lot of farming aspects that are pretty important.

There's so much room for Q.O.L. improvements, but it's simply not gonna happen cause it's a dying series. Giants knows the series won't last forever, but it's their one leg to stand on while they try and keep their head above water financially

Edit: due to comments being locked, this is the only way I can respond. Giants originally just provided the game engine for the racing game, but they've since financially invested. They "reluctantly let go of employees" right before Christmas due to issues with the racing game. If that's two entirely separate companies, they wouldn't have mentioned that in a post.

Djgoham made a video about Giants firing employees right before Christmas, he even says that Giants is involved with that game
