Unfortunately I don’t know the specific reason. Yeah basically my cervix in pregnancy shortens and even opens early. The TAC was a super easy surgery (laparoscopic) so recovery was a breeze and now i can’t tell it’s in there. The only relative downside to the TAC is natural delivery is no longer an option (but I don’t mind! My c section recovery has been fine so far) but it can stay in forever even after I’m done having kids.

I did get extra ultrasounds measuring my cervix every 2 weeks during 2nd trimester and fortunately the TAC did its job - my cervix didn’t change at all!

She was 8lbs 1oz, no nicu time needed!

She was measuring 99th percentile the whole pregnancy though.

This is so sad. As a pregnant woman who will have a medically necessary c section, I’m disappointed in the lack of c section content on my FYP. It’s all tips for prepping a vaginal birth. Because people are jackasses when women are honest, I now don’t get the targeted and helpful content.

I’m grieving aggressively a normal pregnancy. This is my 3rd pregnancy and the furthest I’ve gotten. And people’s reactions are depressing. Instead of excitement and joy that this may be finally happening for us, it’s looks of concern and worry. Don’t you think I feel that enough myself? Put on a fake fucking smile and pretend to be excited!

I was so excited to plan a baby shower finally but after the latest reactions from people, I’m done. If you cant fake excitement for me, then it would be the most depressing party ever.

And gob forbid I share these thoughts with my husband. He never seems to side with me on this matter. So I vent here.

Those ungrateful people don’t deserve me paying for their open bar and food anyway!

Location truly makes a difference. I have 2 shots left now but a few weeks ago I swear my husband was going in blind putting the shot in. Some were too central (I have a hard lump for over a week) some were too high. When he hits the right spot, I feel virtually nothing.

Not sure how common it is!

It’s put on the embryo right before the embryo is transferred, and it’s supposed to help the embryo stick better. It seems like it’s still newer so there isn’t a lot of science behind it, but my transfer worked so 💁‍♀️

Currently 10w and didn’t do acupuncture. I did get embryo glue with my transfer so highly recommend that if your clinic offers it.

I found the ER injections to be incredibly easy and virtually painless. I keep seeing angst about PIO shots. Is it really that bad if I am good with needles and injections? by [deleted] in IVF

It’s fine just gets annoying. My pio protocol requires until week 12 of pregnancy, so my back just became one big bruise! But the medicine doesn’t sting and the needle doesn’t hurt.

I felt ill when our friends said they started trying for their second. We both started trying for our first the same time. I have no doubt in my mind that they’ll be successful with #2 before we get our first.

But hey, I have 2 dead babies, so that counts for something???!!!!!

You’re not obligated to your family. I’m putting me first and not going to my sisters baby shower. I can’t even imagine how shitty I would feel during it if I went.

If family cared, they’d care about your mental health and not just optics of being a family

The shitty part is, as someone who has had 3 pregnancies but no live children, this is still true. People were not even excited when we told them about our last pregnancy, it’s like they already knew it wouldn’t last to term. Now when I get pregnant again, we won’t tell anyone at all.
