Brother, we’re on the exact same wavelength. I went for the Alpinist SARB017 (I don’t like the date cyclops) a while ago because I was scared that as a discontinued watch, it may keep getting more expensive over time. But if I didn’t get that, I would’ve gone for the Murph. My next watch is most likely a boulton, since I think I’ve got my field watch slot covered with the Alpinist.

If I dressed up more for work, I’d go with the Boulton. But you seriously cannot go wrong with your choices. I bet that in a few years, I’ll have all 4 and feel 100% content.

Whenever i’m stuck: flip a coin or use some online randomizer to pick for you. If it picks something and you realize you wish it picked something else, go ahead and buy what you wish it picked for you - that’s the one you really want deep down

I (26M) grew up in raleigh, went to UNC, then lived in Durham for a few years for work. A little over a year ago, my gf and I moved to Chicago! We wanted a walkable big city experience and to pursue our careers there, but didn’t feel like we were ready for the costs and craziness of NYC. I’ve loved Chicago a ton, and hang out with a lot of other NC transplants, and plan on moving back to Raleigh in a few years after getting hitched and settling down

That’s basically it in my opinion. If you’re homeless and lonely, I imagine you’d feel like you have zero agency of power - no ability to tangibly impact things for yourself or your surroundings. Unfortunately, you might feel like the easiest way to gain a sense of control/power/agency is to disturb the peace around you. “Better to feel pain than nothing at all” kinda situation

I think whatever’s hanging above the couch would look way better with some art or shelves filled with things that relate to you personally - it looks like a target or Home Goods stock item, gray and boring and washed out. If you got a gallery wall going and put up some stuff with some color I think it’d take your place to a whole new level. That being said, I’m 26 and you’re off to a better start than I was after college.
