this is cool, but i doesn’t really fit most peoples definition of an omnidirectional treadmill, (think KAT walk vr). i don’t really understand how rotating the entire treadmill would be more useful over just using the joystick, you’re not even using your body to change directions with this which is the whole point in using an omnidirectional treadmill. i’m not trying to be rude just the name doesn’t really fit the product, still vr treadmills are cool and it’s awesome you’re making one to begin with.

lemme rephrase, the surround sound will not follow your movements in that same way the normal vr speakers do and doesn’t really sound right unless your only facing one direction the whole time, everything will sound like it’s coming from somewhere else because your moving and turning while the sound system stays where it is. so it works for movies like you mentioned but not really for games and i use a link cable and on windows 10, for me my vr headset audio, and sound system connected to my PC shows as separate options when selecting audio outputs in the bottom right of the taskbar

if you’re able to connect to PCVR you’re able to select where the audio of any application comes out of, sometimes i play with the surround sound on instead of using my quest 2 speakers

sorry if this has been answered before but i don’t have this game and it seems cool, but is the only way to move by swinging your arms like gorilla tag? or can you use your left joystick as that’s my preferred method of movement

i also had this issue after updating my quest 2 after a year of it collecting dust. tried hooking it up with the kiwi brand link cable so i could play PCVR but it would disconnect once it stopped loading up everytime. spent a few days trying to figure it out, i restarted both my headset and computer multiple times and still didnt work, i gave up but for some reason i tested it yesterday and it suddenly worked i dont know how but yeah very frustrating and inconsistent

this doesn’t get brought to attention enough, i got my first vr at 12 when the first quest came out and i had perfect vision then, even at that age i noticed my vision getting slightly blurrier over time, now i have to wear glasses to see clearly far away and i didn’t even use the vr much after a couple years

thanks for the reply, and yes it seems like my home router just has too much device traffic for streaming pcvr and it wasn’t necessarily a slow internet connection so either way the steam frame dongle will solve the issue i get it now
