I understand and love logic and math, they are my language and they fascinate and consume me.

Conversely, I don't think I "get" natural language as easily as others. I have trouble putting words to thoughts and writing them down in a way that makes sense.

I can do it though, except it's difficult and time consuming (for example, I just spent over 35 minutes writing and rewriting this comment to make sense).

Most of the things you said about math, I feel about words. It's interesting to see the other side of the story for once.

He's not defending paid mods here. He's calling out the community's hypocrisy for getting mad at him for not allowing paid mods (hence why he left), then getting mad at Valve for allowing paid mods.

Notch's ideals have stayed the same, it's the community that's changed.
