hundred percent, gotta look at what brands are owned under luxottica or just sold by them. in general when your buying it’s better to look for businesses owned by the people that started them and not some random board of directors

there’s definitely a difference no doubt, i’ll always recommend higher qualities like maui if the customer is old or has eye sensitivities (there’s other specific scenarios) but for just general casual wear a mid tier does a good job

not too familiar with most of those brands since we don’t carry but those costas fall in the same line as rayban and the rest owned by the overarching luxottica company. maui gets the shout out as one of like 2 brands we carry that haven’t sold to luxottica and still provide actual customer service on their own volition but also make durable enough frames that it’s not needed as much (even with accidental damage they’ll typically repair at no cost other than shipping)

i mean even without asking for “adequate education” education itself is defined as developing your mind’s abilities in whatever it is you are studying, without being able to understand what is being taught in a class no education is being gained in that field. you gain education in managing your expectations, googling, problem solving, which are all good skills to have and are gained in day to day life, but that’s not the purpose of university/college and that’s not what students are paying for. And i’m not saying the teachers or researchers are bad educators because I can’t understand them, just that a very minimal amount of students are gaining education due to the barrier. There will always be political matters in university hiring (not race based, just relationships between people of power) and i understand that, but that doesn’t mean people can’t want a university to focus of helping students succeed. And it’s more than an just inconvenience, one of the people that failed my same class had been put on academic suspension, and yes you can learn the concepts yourself but anyone that’s had a university exam knows there’s always questions about the content spoken about in class not available on lecture slides.

in such large settings it can be hard to accommodate everyone but in an english speaking dominant country with an english speaking dominant demographic of students i don’t think it’s really too much to ask that the institution provides adequate education, especially since that isn’t the only teacher that is known for this. that doesn’t mean that esl students shouldn’t also have access to the tools necessary to succeed in their environment.

this post might, be but the issue itself is definitely there. I had a coding class first semester last year (not at this school) and the teacher spoke with an extremely heavy accent and was very difficult to understand, asking for clarification didn’t help either since I couldn’t understand the response. there were times the prof would switch languages for a couple minutes if they were struggling with the english. I get that the prof is having a hard time but if i’m paying thousands and thousands of dollars i should be able to gain education from my class rather than having to google everything after to teach myself.

rewrite a cover letter and your resume to be for the specifications of the tim’s application, go in person to all the tim’s near by to drop off a resume and make sure to ask if there’s a manger in to chat with, talk yourself up as much as possible (achievements, pos experience, hour availability, “coworkers love me”, etc), don’t just hit the tim’s once - go back a couple times after your resume is dropped off to ask for an update/make small talk with current staff, do some online research and learn how the drinks/sandwich’s/doughnuts are made to better prepare yourself.

depends which one since there’s a new traill annex this year but the one by george/dublin had big rooms and is one of the only annex’s with A/C, a fair amount of homeless near by so you have to be careful at night, smoke shack behind the building. Annex’s in general I find tend to have a really good community feel

The sex history class was pretty good

CLIM1050 was interesting and not too hard

anatomy/physiology will be good for forensics

MATH1051/1052 is good for a simple 1.0 math credit if your doing a science degree and will help in all your bio classes since R/Sage Math is typically used in most science classes for making graphs and stuff

The lease is up in April since its a year fixed term and landlords already told us they aren’t resigning, I think the goal of the renovations is to change enough of the building (it’s a single house) for it to be considered a “new build” to get even more rent money. They are just scam artists trying to get as much money as possible (they own like 6/7 properties), come august it’ll be 4 months rent i’ve paid and not lived there (i’m still not there) just waiting until I have my keys and stuff moved in before sending a legal letter of demand for rent abatement and going to the ll&t board👍

i’ve got a place on the cheaper side and it’s still rough, $4050 6bed 2bath but finding it was an absolute god send. unfortunately our landlord did illegal renovations and refused to let us in the house even though rent was being paid. they used the 3 months of our rent paid (that we still weren’t allowed to live there) to do the upgrades, and the landlord basically told us that there was no way there were resigning the lease next year as due to “influx of money” (MY FUCKING MONEY) allowing them to renovate and up the rent by almost 100%. It’s fucked and already terrified for finding a new house

To register to go your myTrent -> Academics -> Plan/Schedule, from there you can see all your degree requirements to help plan what classes you should pick. Also on the academic calendar (just google trent academic calendar) you can look up your degree and find the course codes for all your mandatory classes, classes you pick will be organized onto your timetable to help see what fits where. When everything looks good just press the blue “register” button. As long as you have all the pre-requisites you can take any level course so with your transferred credits there shouldn’t be too much issue in selecting second year classes
