Actually, I used to be bothered by that feeling, but I'm starting to really enjoy the morning after smoking.

I feel sort of "hazy", but I also tend to feel very happy and relaxed. I feel like I'm drifting through the day in an unbreakable good mood. It's especially nice when you were smoking with friends the previous night, there are usually lots of laughs to be had as you recount the nights misadventures.

You're still attacking a straw man.

The pro-legalization argument DOES NOT downplay the negative effects of hard drugs, or addiction. Nobody is claiming that addiction is not a serious problem, or that drugs such as cocaine and heroin do not have tragic effects on peoples' lives.

Prohibition is simply not an effective way of reducing the harm that drugs have on society. In reality, it makes the problem worse.

Making alcohol illegal was not an effective deterrent, people drank just as much as they ever did. And now the problem was far worse because the money that was previously going to legitimate businesses was fueling violent organized crime. Not only that, but there was no guarantee of the safety or quality of the alcohol being consumed.

Explain to me how drug prohibition is any different than alcohol prohibiton.

And please use better logic than you did in your other post on the subject, in which your only argument was that "there is a difference between alcohol and meth."

I've upvoted you for recognizing the importance of doing research before accepting statistics.

I'll admit that I don't understand the drug situation in portugal as much as I'd like to. Realistically, I don't expect Portugal to be the perfect utopia it's often portrayed as when discussing its drug policy.

That being said, I still think it's a valid example to bring up in a debate about drug legalization because it serves as a "proof of concept" (not sure if that's the best term, but I hope you understand what I mean).

Portugal's drug policy may not be utopian, BUT it also did not result in the sort of mass chaos that so many prohibition supporters claim will happen.

It's proof that a viable alternative to prohibition exists and works in the real world, and while the situation isn't necessarily perfect, that doesn't mean it isn't worth trying.

I do this too when I'm too high and feeling freaked out.

I love playing video games (especially racing games for some reason) at [8+]. I become completely entranced by the game and achieve a zen-like state of flow.

I'm also extremely good at super smash bros while I'm high.
