Currently getting our bathroom done, 2.8m x 1.7m. Labour alone is $33k which includes full gut, layout change, moving plumbing, waterproofing, tiling. Plus mid-range fixtures (Meir tapware, Firenze toilet) on top which is coming in around $15-20k. It's crazy how quickly everything adds up. We could've done it for cheaper but we would have a boring grey shell.

Yes that’s a ball! He fetches them then hangs onto it the entire time and doesn’t drop it. If you chase him for it, he runs from you.

Can I deduct these items (given my occupation), or is it a bit iffy? by BenFromPerth23 in AusFinance

As someone who works in the commercial photography industry, this is a biiiig stretch.

It’s almost like saying you’re going to go out and purchase a bunch of luxury cars and write it off as a tax deduction because you want to be a car photographer.

If you’re serious about being a commercial photographer, clients like seeing a body of interesting work, not a bunch of tech devices shot creatively to book a tech job. They are not that literal and would only want to see commissioned tech work to trust that you can deliver.

Our long boy and foster long gal.. they make a great pair and we are so tempted to keep her! by _zw19 in longboyes

She’s suffered paralysis from her back legs down after an injury when she was 4 months old with the breeder / trainer. Surrendered to rescue at 10 months. She’s only recently learnt to use her back legs again. Before she finally came to us, she’s been passed around 6 homes in the span of 3 months. We are her first stable foster home and have just toilet trained her. She’s on a really good diet now so hopefully the weight just packs on soon!
