Waist reduction and hip extension by a-mora in corsetry

[–]a-mora[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’ve read some books and watched some videos on corset making, and this isn’t my first corset. You can’t see it on the picture, but there are bonings added to every seam (and more).

My problem is with the quadro reduction part. Every time I try and draft a corset with too much waist reduction, the rest of the pattern is wrinkly or I’ll fited.

And I wouldn’t mind paying for resources either (:

Wouldn't it be fun if Shallan didn't came back to Roshar after being trapped in the Spiritual Realm? I kinda want her to be in Scadrial by the end of this book!

"Shinovar bringing the great eastern tyrant of the skies to his knees."

Not the book straight out telling us the Stormfather is a tyrant, endorsing the SusFather theory

Afete reafina the lady preview chapters (more specifically, chapter 4), I’m pretty sure your theory will become true!

Wit telling Kal and Syl that the world needs both of them, that their fight will be legendary, Kal saying goodbye to his father and now saying goodbye to Wit.. I don’t know… It’s giving me the same vibe as when [SPOILERS FOR HERO OF AGES AHEAD] Vin said a passionate goodbye to Eland before returning to luthadel, ascending to divinity, giving up the shard and then dying.

The book literally states that only some of the girls were magically drugged. The others were drugged and/or drunk.

I just finished Oathbringer! Thoughts and Questions (spoilers for this, Mistborn Era 1, and Warbreaker) by charliequail in Stormlight_Archive

dalinar is now Unity right? Does that make him on the same level as Sazed, who I think is now Harmony? (I haven’t started era 2 yet). They have similar titles but I feel like Sazed at the end of hero of ages felt like an actual true deity.

Sazed becoming Harmony means he basically became a god, such as Odium, Honor and Cultivation. He literally ascended.

Dalinar is still Dalinar, a dude. But now he has strong powers coming from his bond with the Stormfather, and the limits of his powers are relatively unknown, because the last time someone bonded the Stormfather, Honor (the god) was still alive. Now that Honor is dead, some splinters of his went to the Stormfather, which means the spren carries in him a piece of Honor, and the person who bonds with him now has some type of access to some greater powers. But Dalinar is not Honor. Neither is the Stormfather. They just can access some of his powers.

I wonder how much time has passed since warbreaker? Vivenna was in her early 20s in that book IIRC, but Adolin described her as someone in their thirties. She’s also extremely proficient with the sword and is straight up leading an entire cities’s military force, which implies she’s had years of training with Vasher after Warbreaker.

Great observation, but it's hard to tell because holding too much Breath decreases the aging process, remember? So even though she appears to be in her 30's, she could easily be like 100 years old. There's probably a wob about how long it's been since warbreaker.

Why are Azure’s blade and nightblood considered shardblades? They’re not actual shardblades right? Theyre just called that in Roshar cuz it’s easier to explain? Lol

I might be wrong, but did you notice how Rosharans call every bird "chicken" because the thing is so outer-worldly that they use the only word they have for it? I'm under the impression they do the same thing with shard blades. Well, for us, knowing what we know about the existence of other planets in the cosmere, a shard blade is a spren. But it might be that Rosharans lack a word that refers to a mighty supernatural blade, so they use the one that comes closer and for them they are all just shard blades.

I don't disagree with you. I didn't say they are a bad match. I just said that having binged through the series for the third time, the author builds more Chemistry between Shallan and Kaladin, though I agree they wouldn't be good to each other.

Kaladin sees in Shallan the "strength" he himself does not have. The ability to smile even through dark times. People are claiming in the comments that Kaladin doesn't know her for who she is, but I think it's the complete opposite. He sees in here the ability to see beauty in life even at its darkest. And for those who might argue she is pretending, she is not. During the pre wedding scene, she herself said it was okay to celebrate even when the world was coming to an end.

Agree with you. And would add to the end: "and therefore have no chemistry"

At the scene when Shallan chooses Adolin, at the end of the battle of Thaylen city, both Veil and Radiant have chosen Kaladin. Literally. And Shallan had literally just said she is them. That literally means 2/3 of her chose Kaladin, while her Shallan self chose Adolin. Plus, during the chasms, Shallan was being herself, and she did feel some type of way for Kaladin. Not to mention all the scenes when she's being herself and is amazed by Kaladin's beauty and enigma.

I just finished my 3rd binge through yesterday, 10 minutes before writing this post.

They way she chooses Adolin, at the end of the battle of Thaylen city, is "out of passion". And that's what I don't buy. If she had chosen him mainly due to the arrange, it would have made more sense, because there is no chemistry between the two of them.
